So first of all ,hello everyone... So let's start from the beginning...I had a cat named pumpkins for 3 years now and then she gave birth to two kittens Lilo and Maya 2 years ago so now pumpkin is 3.5 and Her daughters are 2.5 ... Few days ago Lilo gave birth to 3 kittens , pumpkin is amazing with them ,she's such an Angel ,she takes care of them with to the point where she sleeps in the same bed they are in and she stays there and only leaves for food and bathroom.. On the other hand Maya just purely hates them and I don't know why ?! She doesn't go into the room they are in now (they use to be in my bedroom but now they are in the guest bedroom) and even my room, she stopped coming in now and won't cuddle with me like she use to, I think it's because I now smell like the new kittens ? Anyways today Maya went into the guest room and pumpkins smelled her and the both attacked each other ... What should I do with her ? Please help ! I'm worried what will happen when they start wondering around the house (´Д` ) and thank you [emoji]9829[/emoji]︎

Many adult cats are a little afraid of small kittens - they dont know what it is!   Its easy to understand with males, but the fact is, even females may behave so.

So, for the time being, held Maya outside the room with kittens, momma, and their biological grandmomma whom is acting co-momma.  Later on when they become bigger and behave and look more cat-alike, she will almost surely be an OK aunt.  But she isnt now.

How is momma doing?  You say grandma Pumpkin is marvellous, but I hope momma takes anyways the lejon part share in caretaking?

Thank you , I don't think they'll be problems with Maya getting close to them since they have 2 bodyguards who are protecting them lol , but yeah Lilo is doing her job feeding them and staying close , she kinda wanted to go back to my bedroom since she took them and placed them in my room , so I moved the whole bed to my room again..

Oh, there are seldom real problems with this fearful adult.  She wont hurt them consciously, the only theoretical danger may be if she happen to swipe them with a paw...  But that is rare, usually they just do some hissing and fleeing...

Nay, the problem is the momas get stressed and alarmed, without any real need for this.

I mean, just look on that picture, how they are nicely relaxing and enjoying these moments of maternity and motherhood!

I know how it feels.  In Sweden are the fathers welcomed to the birthing and maternity wards.  So I know how it feels to be there,  a vallack "neuter" in that maternity haven of women,  and share this magical atmosphere, participating in the situation, taking care of our child, etc...   Very especial moments.

The problem is I have a house party in a couple of days which was planned for more two weeks now (I actually didn't know she was pregnant In the first place , waking up to new born kittens was a surprise) and the mother is naturally a Coward and is afraid of anyone and anything ...even the doorbell , should I lock her with food and a litterbox in the guest room until everyone is gone ??

Absolutely close her and even your other cats in the guest room with a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door during your party. Mom in particular needs as little stress as possible, and no one needs to go in and view the kittens. It will distress mom terribly.

I agree with SArthur, do close them in some suitable room, where they wont be disturbed.  Mommas are very protective, and a shy momma at that...  Nay, dont take any risks.

If the aunt like folks, she may be outside and greet them, none else.

Its the biological momma and the biological grandmomma.

The foster grandmomma and also owner, is of course the third bodyguard.   :)
