So when I got the kitten from the foster care owner she said the whole litter had runny poop so she took them to the vet and had them on medication and should be better.  Well when I got home he still had runny poops and when I called her she said it was completely normal-his stomach was just upset being in a new home and all.  She thought maybe because it was because I changed his food--but can all this be from changing his food?!  It also smells horrible-it smells like rotten eggs.  And today his butt was bleeding-not dripping blood-but it's still a lot and looks so uncomfortable for the poor guy!  Besides this he is a happy, playful little guy.  What can I do to make help him!  Is this very urgent-or is it just irritated-maybe a hemoorhoid ?  I have a visit for him to the vet but it is not until later next week-in part i'm waiting for the rest of his papers from the foster care lady.  Should I try and get him there earlier?

Yes, I would try to get him in sooner. This is not normal. There's no way to know whether he's bleeding internally or bleeding from the anus. In either case, he needs to be seen by a vet. Don't wait a week.

You can add a half teaspoon of pumpkin to his food - either baby food or unflavored canned pumpkin - to help clear up the diarrhea in the meantime, but don't wait to see the vet.

Deja Vu....My gosh we have exact dilemma. I adopted a kitten from a Paws and on the first day that Dexter had been with us..his poop was kinda watery and he was passing gas as well and had some blood on his butt when he pòop...So I called up the owner of the shelter, she told me exactly the same thing. It must have been a change in the food diet and new environment. So I did not bring him to the vet(because right after getting him from the shelter I had my vet checked on him and She sais he looks normal and healthy) So I observed him closely, and now his poop is not as solid as my older cat but its getting more more less watery...his appetite is still as strong as when he first arrived home with me and he is getting heavier these days. And as active as ever. The good thing here I have a nice and kind vet that I call and ask questions. If she thinks theres no need for me to bring my cats to see her ...she usually tells me so and when to rush them asap.
