So... Who's playing Pokemon Go?

Thanks for the guide, Draco.....I read it this morning.

FWIW, I got 10,000 steps on my Fitbit this morning. Part of that is doing my treadmill walk; the other part is that I know there's a Pokemon Nearby and I've been walking around inside the building trying to find the thing! All to no avail.

Guess I'm going to have to go outside during lunch today. It says Nearby and there are three steps. I just can't figure out where it is!

3 steps is farther away.. 1 step is closer, 0 steps is right on top of it

Oh crap. 

I was outside during lunch today and my screen went black. Completely. It's only when I'm on Pokemon Go. Everything else works OK. I've heard there are a lot of issues/problems with the game. Darn it anyway. I hope I don't have to delete it and then try to install it again.

There are six Pokemon nearby outside. I found one and it showed up on my screen, but then it all went poof! I can't access it now at all. There's a gym at the entrance to our local park and there are two PokeStops somewhere, too, but I wasn't close enough to access them.

I also got the guy who told me that I was not a very experienced Pokemon hunter. (I already knew that!  )

I was at an intersection and saw two kids walking out of a back yard, staring at their phones. They looked at me and I just started to laugh. They came over to me and I asked a few questions. The one kid said, "You are not an experienced Pokemon hunter!" I said, "I know! And the guy already told me that! Help!" They answered some questions, but they wanted to do their own thing, so I thanked them and went on my way. 

I've been having issues today as well. The servers can't handle the load

I got from US iTunes before it will come to Japan.

I had to think about It.I can play with no one! XD

Anyway, I've been playing Pokemon Go since the day it came out in America. I have having a lot of fun and been to a Pokémon Go event in my city. Where I live, there are no interest pokemon. Almost two weeks ago, I was on the bus and a Snolax appeared. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to catch it [emoji]128575[/emoji]. So mad at myself. I've caught many. Evolved 3x and hatched 4 eggs. I love eggs XD.

I wanted to understand the incredible virality this game has, so I downloaded and went playing with my 12 yo son. I didn't really "get it" but he did, so now he's playing (with my phone, mind!!) I insisted that his Dad goes with him because I'm not having my boy roam the streets of a new city (we recently moved in) on his own. They're having a great time and it certainly adding a lot of exercise for both of them (they get to walk 2-3 miles every evening).

Yesterday evening my son decided to stay home. I went walking and DH joined me at some point and guess what... he was asking for my phone and started looking for pokemons! So much for "chaperoning" out kid.

I'm trying to, but am having trouble trying to find them. And it's difficult for me to see my phone screen when I'm out during the day. 

I hatched a Pikachu the other day and was obscenely excited.

Winchester my screen protector is matte which helps a lot.

I was in Walmart a couple days ago and a Pikachu popped up. It ran away from me . I did hatch a Porygon that day too. A day later, I hatched a 2k. It was a Rattata. I wanted a Caterpie. My favorite Kanto bug is Butterfree. Anyway, I don't play because of 4 reasons.
1): I ran out of Pokeballs(can't buy more).
2): It's too hot! I live in Nevada. You step foot outside and you literally die.
3): I have no one to Pokehunt with and I don't want to do it alone.
4): You can't tell how far away pokemon are now because they took the steps away to fix them.

To revive an old thread.... Anyone still playing Pokemon Go?

I was planning on re-downloading the game soon. Nintendo is making a new pokemon game for the Switch that will have compatibility with the Pokemon Go app.

My nieces and sister-in-law are obsessed. My sister-in-law travels around our state for the pokemon. I'm kind of excited to get back into it.

I already have that game on order. I tend to go through waves of just getting my daily pokestops/Pokemon for a few weeks then being more hardcore into it. Usually when new stuff comes out, like the friends, I get more active. My Dad is crazy for the game, he has double the catches, mileage and is three levels ahead of me. He's driven two hours away to find nests.

Honestly, I really want the special gift only pokemon. So gifting madness over here. Going to ride my bike around town tonight to hatch some eggs and pick up more gifts. I have the Pokemon Go Plus so I can just press the button for stops and Pokemon while riding (or driving, its hands free sort of because I wear it with the button in my palm and just apply pressure to press the button with my steering wheel when it buzzes).

You sound so much like my sister-in-law! She has a groupme that is set up for her neighborhood and another neighborhood near her where she goes for pokestops and gyms. She's gotten so into it she's using apps to check stats and IVs of the pokemon she uses. She even has discords she uses for when she goes out of town to meet other people.

My university is a huge land of pokestops and gyms which is why I'm super excited about the new game and getting back into it. (Just not yet because I'm taking summer classes in the middle of BFE) I geeked out when I originally got it. Since I also walk to and from my university every day of the school year, I'd be hatching eggs like a pro.

[Also on an unrelated side-note, I had a horse I used to ride when I was younger and competitive named Kieka and it brought back some nostalgia seeing your name. ]

I just updated the game, and still play. its addicting!

I am not sure yet how to add friends and gift Kieka will let you know when I figure it out!

I really wish I could star or mark friends somehow to keep people straight. But your screenname should be easy to remember. Feel free to yell at me if I forget to gift in response or miss you for a few days.

I am also trying to refrain from opening gifts until I have egg space so I can get the eggs. But I want to open all my gifts in a day so I can get new ones the next. I wish you had a way to dump eggs you didn't want or hold eggs in inventory if you 9 active slot.

There is a reddit thread for international friends if you you are fine adding random people. I figure I will prioritize people I know (including TCS people), then randoms that send me gifts, then people who don't gift at the end of day if I haven't sent out max gifts for the day (which is 20).
