Hey guys, I wrote once b4 but got no replies which in a way was good cod if one of you would of said take him vets, I would have although u didn't have the funds at the time. I'm happy to say that all I done was changed his good from as good as it looks to another, I'm not slighting as good as it looks as other cat still loves it and the one that was sick had surgery as a kitten so maybe his stomache is not as strong? Thing is, he was a demon when came to his treats and as a parent I over indulged his whims and now I woke up, there's no vomit, he seems happy yet he didn't touch his treats? I only text this as I have no one else to communicate my fears to, don't get me wrong, I have a partner, I have friends, but a cat that seems really healthy is not a topic I could bring up when talking of paying vet bills yet I wouldn't go pdsa coa in liverpool, no matter how ill your cat is, if not a dog, you make appointment. I will give one more day and if he doesn't est treats, I will not be going holiday this year.

Is it just the treats he isn't eating, or his food also? If he's eating okay otherwise and just turning down treats, there's nothing to worry about. It's pretty normal for cats to switch their taste in treats after getting the same ones for days or weeks.

If he's not eating any food, it's definitely time to get him to a vet, because fasting for even a short time can lead to health complications like hepatic lipidosis

Yea just treats, it doesn't sound much but if you knew my cat you would realise it's a big deal, usually a greedy get, pushes his brother out the way to eat his aswell? Nightmare, Charlie on other hand is the hippy of the cat world? Where Toby would see for instance a fly and would go berserk trying to catch it, Charlie would be like all laid back thinking like, wow, look at that go, it can fly" so Toby not eating treats has me a bit concerned but not majorly, he still eats his food and drinks so I guess he is on the mend as he hasn't vomitted since changed his food, thank you so much for your kind reply.

Hey guys? Eventually went vet? Sod's law, day of appointment he was fine? Took him anyway and £47 later told he is fine? Writing now to let you know what we found out whilst in vets reading brochures? Lillies can kill cats? We had lillies on verandah which was lashed as soon as we got home, think now that could well of been the problem, girlfriend just told me to write and let all cat lovers know, I never even thought about it but yes, if have lillies watch they're no where near where your kitties are? Just thought I'd pass on what I've learnt, with love,

Lilles kill cats? Hey guys, while in vets I found out that lillies kill cats? I had an Aunty lilly but no, it's not old mad women named lilly it's the plant? Look it up it is true, I can't understand why this is not widely known and would of never had lillies if I had? Mine are now gone, and I hope if you have cats you heed this warning? People should know?

That's something we have an annual reminder of:

[thread="45894"][/thread]

There's also an article on the dangers of lilies:

When your cat doesn't eat treats what do you do?

Because my gannet in cat form sometimes refuses treats, so I get worried and offer him all the toys to check he's alright. He does it to get his favourite toy which I only give him occasionally.

Martha is do fussy or maybe spoilt [emoji]128513[/emoji] she has tried almost every uk brand cat food and has settled for Felix , for now at least. She loves meat chews and temptations but oddly enough not dreamies which are the same thing. She has chicken , which is cooked then cooled at room temperature and tuna as well. She often eats more at night. I wouldn't worry yourself , maybe your cat isnt as hungry as you think he is or maybe like martha does to me he has you wrapped around his paws. [emoji]128570[/emoji]

Thanks, I'm sorry im new to this site and did not know anything about dangers to cats, when found out about lilies Imy partner told me to inform others, I honestly would of been ignorant myself not thinking? We have no children and our cats are our world, they are house cats and I thought keeping them in would be keeping them safe? I have a huge verandah for them to play out and had no idea I was putting them in harms way by having flowers? I had roses, lillies and many others I now have none? I think this issue should be highlighted more than it is, if never took him the vet and happened across an article I would still be oblivious and maybe harming my babies?

I didn't know about aloe vera either, so that was my 5 favourite and wonderfully tended plants out the window.

I love having plants around so I've been growing herbs and leafy greens. No danger to the cats and a boon to my cooking.
