Cat staying by water dish

Hi I am sending another thread. Our cat still sleeps day and night  She has lost weight, but still has an appetite for now. She. There is blood in her urine and she has been peeing on floor instead of in litter box. We taken her to vets twice and they think she has an infection but their not sure what type.  She has been on antibiotics for 2 1/2  weeks now but we don't notice any change. What conditions causes this type of symptoms? Perhaps its something serious!

Hi misskittymeow, since you've taken her twice to the vet and the vet is still clueless about the symptoms, maybe you should try another vet for a second opinion.

Please don't wait to get a second opinion as after 2 1/2 weeks of antibiotics is not helping. Get her in soon.

I agree with a second opinion.  She also needs to be tested for diabetes as one of the classic symptoms is excessive thirst.  Ask for blood work to test blood sugar and also have her thyroid checked.
