Hello! I stumble onto this site and I am so glad I did. I have two precious cats Ollie and Chevy! I had an unfortunate incident with Chevy the other day while I was giving him a flea bath. Poor baby got scared and I ended up with a cat biting into my hand mid air. He hung on and his teeth where in my hand deep. While the wound over all seem ok maybe slightly infected but I keep cleaning it and my hand isn't beat red and super swollen or anything. However my hand and arm have started to hurt terribly. A deep pain. Shooting from my hand up my arm. Any one here have experience with cat bites and how to care for them or when to worry?

You really need to go get checked out. When I was bitten by a kitten they gave me a dtap shot and cleaned it. If it's hurting that bad infection may be trying to set in and you need antibiotics.

With a bite like you are describing and the pain that you are now feeling it is very important to go have it checked by a doctor. Too many people end up being hospitalized with cat bite injuries.

Glad you found TCS, welcome :wavey:

Get to the doctor right away! Infection can be internal with the actual bite site not showing irritation at all. You very well may need immediate antibiotic therapy to knock out what could become a more serious infection. Bad kitty!! Hope your injury heals quickly!
