Hi! I rescued my cat, Nema, a female 6 year old healthy cat back in April. She's seemed great other than the occasional eating too quickly and then vomiting. 2 weeks ago, my husband and I got back from a trip in which my parents in law were watching her. She had a small bump on her ear and looked like she was scratching the cut off of both ears. She hasn't showed ANY other health concerns, and it's not a tick. I checked a lot of websites and it doesn't appear to be any of the skin conditions listed, but I'm wondering if I should take her in to the vet or not. We really can't afford to if we don't have to, but obviously will if there's something wrong. She is not declawed, so I think the fur loss on her other ear is just due to long nails. If anyone can help, I'd really appreciate it! I THINK it's a mosquito bite but obviously I'm not a vet.

is it on both ears? it COULD Be ringworms. Only a vet can diagnose this, and I would take her to the vet. It seems like she's uncomfortable if she's scratching.

let us know what the vet says!
