The baby needs to be fed by bottle or syringe. You need to go buy some supplies. Can you get some kitten milk replacer? Powdered kind by PetAg is best. You should also get a small needleless syringe and a small bottle from the pet store. She's too young to drink on her own.

Let us know when you've got the supplies and we can tell you how to feed.

Do not delay!! Very sorry to hear about mom. What happened?

I'm sorry to hear that. Is the kitten inside? Can you get supplies? She will need to be fed every 3-4 hours for now. She cannot eat cow milk.

Also, if you could get a small scale to weigh the kitten every day to make sure she is gaining enough weight from your feedings. She should be gaining at Least 6g-10g a day.

And remember when you feed a kitten with the syringe or the bottle, the cats tummy faces down, head slightly up (like if she was sucking from mom). Don't hold her on her back to feed her like a human baby, that could choke her.

Thank you, and how much should i feed her? A bottle everytime? Or a bottle a day? And how many times a day? I have school 5hours a day. Is that a problem for her?

Give her as much as she will eat/drink every time. Kittens need all the nourishment they can get! I'm sure it won't be very much each feeding tho, kittens, especially so young, have such tiny tummies. That is why you need to feed them every 2-4 hours-ish. If you are in school for 5, it should be ok I think, just give her a feeding right before, and right after school. But its going to need to be very often, feed her what she can handle, and then try again a few hours later.

This young as well, you will need to help stimulate her bowels, like her mom would have done. You could take a damp corner of a cloth, and rub it in one direction over her genitals to sort of signal the kitten to "go". Much too young for her to know how to use a litter box by herself, but I am sure you know that already.

She needs a bottle every time until she is weaned.  She will wean when she is 4-6 weeks old.  She can go 5 hours without eating if absolutely necessary, but you would need to give her a bottle immediately before and right after you get home.  She should really be fed every 3-4 hours, and probably get around 12-15ml per feeding.  Can anyone help while you are in school?  You will have to feed through the night too.

She may not take a bottle right now because she is used to nursing from mom.  If she will not, you need to give her a needleless syringe.  You do one drop at a time into her cheek and let her swallow and then repeat.  Feed tummy down, head up, like she would nurse from mom.

Milk and baby have to be warm in order for her to digest.  She will need a heat source in her nest.

Was mom treated for fleas?  I would recommend combing baby with a flea comb and making sure she doesn't have any.

Baby will have to be stimulated to potty for another week or so.  Do this before and after every feeding.

Hey guys i have another cat too that is pregnant, so i had an idea to take this baby cat to the pregnant cat. And this cat acted like it was her own child. So now my baby cat is drinking milk from her. Is it okay for a baby cat to drink milk from another cat?

Yes it's ok to nurse from another cat, but it will not be ok once the babies are born. This baby will be much too big. I am also worried that she's not getting enough from this mama cat. I think you need to do some supplemental bottles as well.

How many cats do you have total? How many are pregnant?

KMR is kitten milk replacer. It's kitten formula.

What are you feeding the kitten? Why can you only give one bottle?

She cannot have cows milk. Cats can't digest lactose.

She needs kitten milk replacer. We recommend powdered by PetAg. If you can't get that, can you get goats milk?

She really needs more than one bottle per day. Why can you only do one?

Yes, it's bad. It can make her sick.

The KMR is at Walmart and pet stores. She will probably like it better.

Can you get it now?
