Felix and Smokey have been on raw for about 2 months now or just about (lost track
). I've noticed a lot of changed in them. First, Felix cries for food more now. Their feces is a very light brown, very dry, and doesn't smell at all. They're both bouncing around the house with so much energy (Felix spent 4 hours playing on and off to the point that I had to clam him down). Felix has also lost A LOT  of weight and I'm worried. He use to be very pudgy and he had a jiggly belly but now there's nothing. He's very slim and my mother keeps asking me if that's normal and if he's sick. I mean, he's not freakishly skinny but he's slim. I weighed him and he lost about 1.5 - 2lb.

I just wanted to know if I should be concerned about this.

A lot of chubby cats slim down when changed from a dry food/ kibble diet to a wet or raw food diet. What I would be concerned with is how fast and how much weight was lost and the fact he is crying for more food. I would feed him more and maybe add a meal or two to his schedule.

When I switched my cats to an all wet diet I was feeding anywhere from 4 to 6 times a day depending on how they acted.

I think it's great that you are able to feed your kitties a raw diet! And hope everything normalizes for Felix.

Thank you for your help. Smokey took to raw meat fast than Felix but there have been days when he'll eat it without being mixed with wet food.

I've noticed that Smokey chases Felix away from his food and eats his. Her weight hasn't changed that much so I'm thinking that's why he's so slim.
