Probably not.    With just one its not much big trouble, and she also gets individually attached.  But having a bigger litter, and new coming immediately thereafter - she would prob abandon them / force them to find some other solution.

Its quite common they seek out some friendly human, and leave the kitten there, but making sure the human does adopt the kitten...  :)   [is this what is happening at your place??]

Re the obvious question, pregnancy is 9-10 weeks, so there cant come now litter when kitten is 7-8.  There are different answers.  One is, OK, so we talk about two weeksw later instead.  Or;  homeless kittens looks often younger, if they are somewhat undernourished.   The third answer is, its not that unique they have two litter simultaneously - typically 3 weeks apart...

Please come back with a deeper report, so it will be easier to decide - and perehaps come with a better answer and even perhaps some advices.

Actually the mom was very small when its mom I think got killed defending it so she grew up living on our deck in our backyard and I fed it lots of wet food so it would survive so she is about as tame as a feral cat can be. I can't touch her but she comes usually when I call her and I can get to about four feet from her without her running away. Anyways, I don't know if that one kitten was all she had as it was her first litter or if the others didn't make it to this age but could be all she had was one. I wasnt sure if the mom was a male or female until I saw the kitten. Anyways, I knew she could get pregnant again almost immediately so I was hoping she wouldn't abandon the baby if she had a new litter as he's way to little to be on his own especially with a raccoon loose. He just started showing up for the food at night. I'm really hoping I've just missed them today at feeding times because normally they are there at daybreak and about one hour before dark for dinner but I didn't see them today. I was going to try to catch the kitten with a kitten trap tomorrow so I could bring him inside to get him tame and give him a home then catch mom so I could spay her. I'm just hoping nothing has happened to them, that's why I thought maybe she was having babies and I missed the baby when it came alone to eat, at least that's what I was hoping, don't want her having more babies but its better than the alternative that they have been killed. Say, Can you tell me if the baby's about six inches long and runs around pretty good and I think I saw it cleaning itself, approximately how old it might be? If it could be older than I was thinking then maybe. Thank you very much for answering my questions and I hope you have a good night and day tomorrow. :-)

If she is bringing the baby up to eat it could be 6-8 weeks old. I would need to see a picture to be more accurate. Catching the kitten is the best thing you can do!

Hoping nothing bad has happened. Did mom look heavily pregnant as though she might be ready to give birth?

Catching her eventually would be wonderful as well.

Keep us posted!
