Hi everyone :wavey:

Today's question is .........

What food could you not give up ? :cake:

This is a tough one  But I think I'm going to go with chocolate :lol3: Cheese comes in a very close second though :D

Potato chips. I have not had a potato chip since May 9 and I'm feeling the withdrawal. Seriously.

Pizza

Chocolate. Even bad chocolate is better than no chocolate.

French fries

M & Ms with peanuts

Pepsi

Sorry for the list. Evidently, I'm having some serious issues right now.

(One of these days, it's not gonna be pretty)

i'd have to say eggs! i just adore eggs. fried, scrambled, omelets, frittatas, poached, hard boiled, breakfast burrito,......and the list just goes on and on. i eat eggs just about every day. it's a very good thing that i don't have high cholesterol -- i've been tested.

Hmm I have to agree with most of Winchester-for one- chicken fingers n French fries. potato chips. Potato chips have no MSG or soybean garbage in them. I can give or tack eggs. I have been trying to eat them every day and honestly I am sick of them. I never thought I would be sick of them but they do fill me up and good for us.

Pizza=DUH! Can't not have pizza! I can go without soda. but this yummy food-nope!

It's more of a category than a specific food, but I could NOT live without fruit. Pretty much anything else, I could do without, but not that.

If you want something slightly less healthy, it'd be Trek and Nakd protein bars :yummy:

Oh....and tea. All kinds of tea. :D

I guess I'm pretty boring with food :lol3:

Ugh.. my doctor made me go Gluten/Dairy free (due to my lack of thyroid and weight problems). I had SUCH a hard time giving up cheese. She told me to ween myself off.. be good monday-friday and treat myself on weekend. SO HARD!!!

I am not missing anything gluten-related though- whatever I want, I can find alternatives. Same goes for most other dairy foods (who knew lactose-free greek yogurt tasted good?!).. Cheese is just a tough one for me.

If it's lactose that's the issue, have you tried lactose free cheese? We have it here in the UK so I bet it exists in the US too. I believe that Kat0121 Kat0121 has found some good vegan cheeses too. I've found a great one in the UK, but I don't think it's available in the US :slant:

Fruit for me too.

And for unhealthy food, chocolate would be the hardest for me to give up.

I did indeed. I bought the dairy free cheese from The Sanctuary at Soledad. https://sanctuaryatsoledad.org/

They were award winning cheese makers who went vegan and turned the farm into a sanctuary. All their goat were retired and they rescue other animals. All proceeds from the sale of the cheeze goes to the care of the animals at the sanctuary. I have tried 3 of the cheddars: plain, pub style and the jalapeno habanero (which is nowhere near as hot as it sounds). They are all delicious and spreadable. My favorite way to eat them is on a grilled english muffin. I also tried the garlic and herb chevre cheeze. Also delicious! They are based in Mojave, California.

As much as I want to say cheese, I know my BODY actually craves fruit quite a bit. It's so weird, I can't explain it. It's not just a taste for it, it's like I go crazy looking for THE fruit that my body is craving.

I could not go without pasta. I LOVE pasta. Long noodles or shapes. Homemade or box. Tomato, cheese, pesto, olive oil, lasagna, and so on. Yum!

I'm currently not eating a lot of my favorite foods.  Pizza, chocolate, bread, cookies, pasta  But the one thing that I cannot have and really miss is yogurt.  Even the lactose free varieties have me doubled over.  There is something call casein that I am having a hard time digesting.  But I can still eat Potatoes!  Baked, mashed, boiled, baked french fries. Yummmmm

The really good fresh bakery breads.  The European or 'Old World' ones, the ones with a crusty exterior and a tender soft interior.  I like them still warm with real butter.
