As alot of you know a few months ago she had a full hysterectomy for Uterine Cancer. She's a strong woman, but she is in her 70's and although she doesnt act her age(or look it) she still has the body of someone older than the 50/60 that she acts. Anyway, today she left for Louisville to go back to the doctor for some tests. These tests will determine if she still has cancer and if she does she will have to have Chemo. She's been fine lately because it's been months since the surgery. She been back to work and happy, but the last few days I've been really upset because I'm afraid they will say they missed a few cells and it's back.I dont want her to go thru Chemo.I know her...if she has to go thru that and lose her hair and stuff she will give up. She feels she's too old to have to mess with Chemo. I just want this to all be over. The pap test caught the cancer early, so maybe she's ok...but I'm still worried. This one stupid test could change all the lives in our family....I dont like this at all. It's just one of thoes things that gives you the helpless feeling we all hate. Her test is susposed to be early Tuesday morning. Please pray that the Cancer is all gone and that she's very healthy! She deserves to be able to live the rest of her life the way she wants. She's worked hard and everyone loves her...It would affect alot of people not just our family...Grrrr I hate Cancer right now. Lyle lost his grandmother to Lung Cancer, and I never thought I'd have to go thru it yet here I am. *sigh* All your prayers got her thru the surgery without problems....so maybe your prayers can help her be Cancer free! She's susposed to be home Tuesday afternoon. As soon as I know the results I'll let you know.

Well she just left to spend the night with my aunt and uncle so he can drive her. The appointment is early tuesday, but I'm not sure the exact time. She said she's gonna come home tuesday night unless it snows up there or if she feels too tired to drive back. Thanks for all your prayer and vibes...she said if the tests come back negative that means she wont have to have Chemo and it's all over, except she will have to go back for tests occasionally for the next five years.
I'm really hoping it's over with. I can tell she's not looking forward to tommorow even though she said she's not nervous.

Saying prayers for Grandma
I hate it and want a cure VERY bad...see for me I have a problem. My grandma's grandmother and mother both had the same cancer meaning it runs in the family. Hopefully by the time I'm older (it hit all three of them after menopause) they will have a cure. I really dont want to go thru this. Maybe I'll be lucky. I want a cure for cancer not just for me though. There are so many people affected by it. It's such a horrible thing...and it can affect so many parts of our body. Not only that but it affects so many lives! Not just because of the person having the cancer, but the families as well.

IA. If you need me, just meow..
OH honey I's so sorry you have to deal with it also.
Brads uncle just went thru surgery for colon cancer Last Thurs.
His grandpa has Prostate cancer too. My mother had a hystorectomy also due to cancer and is taking some weird thing kind of like a chemo pill to keep it from coming back. So cancer runs in both of our families and it scares me to death.
Your grandma is in my thoughts and you as well! No chemo vibes, no chemo vibes.. no chemo vibes....

Thanks. I'm sorry you have to deal with this too. It's definately scary. I try to not think about it because I want to have children one day and I'm afraid I'll run out of time.
Thanks. I'm hoping she wont need chemo!

My aunt had colon cancer and took chemo and she is in her late 70's, but is still fighting, so far the cancer hasn't come back.

My uncle just died from whole body cancer, so I wish they would find a cure soon too.

One of the men at the care home where I work lost his wife, daughter and younest son to brain cancer so it is a terrible thing.

Just hang in there and pray for the best.

GUESS WHAT!!!!

Grandma called from my aunts house a few minutes ago and said the tests showed SOFAR she's cancer free! YEAH! See prayers do work!

Only thing is she has to go back for tests every 3 months for 2 years. She's not happy about that and thinks its too often, but like I told her the more often she goes the better. If it does come back they'd be able to catch it sooner and do something about it rather than if she'd only gone once a year. So thank you so much guys for your prayers!! I was really afraid due to her age that her body wouldnt have fought it off, but she's fine....yeah!

Ok sorry...I'm just really really happy! Thanks so much guys!
