Hey guys,

It's now or never. I only got ONE of the feral kittens I've been feeding to allow me to touch it and pet it. I even picked it up a couple of times and it likes to rub against my legs and show me it's belly. The other ones still do not let me get close enough to touch them but I must make a move now and I prefer to be able to catch the [remaining] four kittens in one sweep instead of one or two at a time.

The reason I wrote remaining four is because there were initially five of them and one of them was killed earlier today. One of my neighbors said it was run over by a car. Also, their presence seems to really be stressing out my cat Brownie. So I have to do something now to put an end to all of this and prevent any more tragedies from occurring.

I am asking for ANY and ALL suggestions to get all four of these kitties into the big box I procured today from the dollar store (it's HUGE, all four of them can fit in it with no problem).

Any advice? Please help.

What kind of box is it?  If it is a crate, then you can tie a length of twine to the door, look the the other end through the top and walk away with that end in you hand.

Place a plate of stinky food at the back of the crate and wait for them to go into the crate.  Hopefully, all of them will go in.  Once that happens, pull the twine and close the door.

You can feed them inside the crate for a couple of days to get them to used t it.

What is your plan once you catch them?  They will need to be isolated from your other cat until they are vet checked.  You should have a room for them which has been kitten-proofed (nothing to hide under, no curtains or blinds to climb).  This room will enable you to socialize them, so they can become proper house cats.

It's a HUGE cardboard box that I got from Family Dollar. It's spacious enough that they all can fit in very comfortably and it's also super tall so they can't climb or jump out of it. It's just a matter of getting them all at once because they don't always show up together.

The Animal Shelter that I am taking them to informed me that they will spay/neuter them, socialize them and get them ready for adoption.
