I have had my cats on a feeding schedule for over a year now. I tried 3 times a day but they were getting hungry about dinner time. So i started splitting the night time feeding amount.

They currently eat at 7am, 2pm 6pm and 11pm.  I have 7 cats some being small eaters and some who would eat everyones food if i let him.

It gets hard to go off some days when we have to be back at 2 for feedings. No one understands why I do it.

Yesterday we got back late about 2:45, of course they are fine. But somedays and they they are really hungry and either ate to fast or their stomachs were upset from not eating since 7am and threw up.

But I noticed today they dont seem ready for lunch at 2pm. So it got me thinking, if I could change their feeding schedule slowly. But of course that throws off the 6pm and 11pm feedings.

I dont want to be up later then 11 at night.

Anyone in my position?

There's certainly no harm in changing their feeding schedule to better suit your needs as well as theirs. Go slow and you should be fine. There's no reason at all why you should feed later than 11pm, even if the earlier feeding times change a bit. I tend to think there's a fair amount of trial and error with feed regimes to finally settle on a schedule that suits you all equally.

Trust your instincts, and do what feels right to you ;) You know your cats better than anyone here, after all :catguy:
