It's been a long time since I've been on the forum and it feels great to be back.  Unfortunately our cat, Neely, went to the bridge last fall.
She was 13 y.o. and had been diagnosed with cancer of the mandible.  We waited awhile but were so lonely without a feline in the house.  We visited several shelters, even went to the one where we first adopted Neely.  Then we discovered a Persian cat that had come from a terrible hoarding situation.  After being rescued by a shelter he was adopted out and returned after 1 year.  Poor guy had such a bad start in life but my gut told me he was a sweetheart and needed a new home, "our home!"  He was very timid as expected but has blossomed into a wonderful and lovable guy.  He's my velcro kitty.
Will try to post pics soon.  Glad to return to the forum.

I'm sorry to hear about Neely.. but I am sure he's happy to see you've found a new companion to love and care for.

Welcome back to the site.. can't wait to see photos of your persian!
