Hello everybody, I'm new here to the forum and I have only just logged on, hoping that maybe someone is online and can help. Well, I guess I just wanted to get an occupational therapy for me. The problem is this: Since about 2 weeks, my cat feels Timo (10 years) bad. He runs abnormally, eats little, hiding a lot and has frequently an attack. The vet could not say with certainty what he has and I must confess that I had to decline for financial reasons an MRI. If I had the money I would do it immediately, but unfortunately it is not. The assumption was then that it what is inflammatory in the brain and he scored antibiotics. They have unfortunately not helped. Blood values were normal. The doctor told me now, it is possible that it is a tumor. At the beginning I was still calm, I knew that it quickly passes. But with every attack I'm nervous. And I do not know what to do now. After the attack should be the cat calm down, yes, but he just wants to have his peace. Maybe you'll have any tips I can do my hangover good what I have not yet read on the Internet somewhere. Best wishes, Jessy

Does he seem in pain anywhere when you touch him? It does sound like he has an internal pain and very well could be a tumor. Does your vet offer care credit so you could get the mri and make payments on your visit?

Thanks mrsgreenjeans!

I hope this will help me a little bit. Unfortunately, many people are not very helpful when it comes to costs for pets :(

Hi Jessica,
So sorry to hear your cats not well,
An obvious question I know ,but do you have any family or friends who may help you with a loan to help you get your cat better?
Is there no way of shopping around to see if there are any pet charities who may be able to help you or indeed a vet that take a deposit of you and you can pay the vet back in installments. People are usually happy to help in the right circumstances.
I think the people on this Forum are very kind and helpful but sadly there are times when even the most kindest/experienced folk don't have the answers and they are doing the same as me, offering what advice and comfort they can.
Wishing you all the best
