I am a human doctor, not a vet, but perhaps I can help you until you can get veterinary care.  The cat appears so ill that veterinary care appears necessary - many vets will help stray animals, where do you live?

Have a look at the cat and let us know whether there is any wound.  BTW. I don't know what you mean by "congested". Can you elaborate?

With regards,

Geoffrey

Call all the animal rescue groups in the phone book (or google for local groups). Hopefully someone will be able to help.

I live in northern Kentucky and his nose is very stuffy he can only breathe out of his mouth so he won't eat or drink I think it might be because he can't breathe if he's eating or drinking

You might want to try calling some local vets/animal hospitals and shelters and asking them. While I was at my local emergency vet over the weekend I watched some people bring a stray cat in needing care, and I am not sure if they were responsible for costs or not as they left shortly after but its worth asking!!

Anslee91,

Thank you. The poor animal could well have a highly infectious upper respiratory infection such as Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis  (FVR or cat flu), if not pneumonia.  It certainly needs to see a vet as soon as possible as it needs to be examined to make a positive diagnosis and to determine what treatment is indicated.

I am not aware of the veterinary setup in Kentucky, but it is most likely that your local veterinary practice can advise you what to do.  Why don't you give them a ring to ask them?

With best wishes,

Geoffrey

Thank you I called the vet and they said they needed money upfront and there was nothing they could do so I got mad and asked them why they became a vet if they didn't care if a animal died then they told me to give him Benadryl

I'm sorry to hear that. :( Can you try another vet? In my experience, you typically pay on discharge/pickup or at the end of the appointment, not up front, and you are asked about any diagnostic tests to be ordered at an additional cost which you can decide not to get. Do you know any friends or family or neighbors that might be able to help? Thanks for trying to help this poor sick kitty.

I've tried 3 vets and animal shelter no one will help so I'm just gonna try the Benadryl and keep putting him in the bathroom with hot water running and try some nasal spray plus I have a nebulizer that I've been using on him if I could get his nose unstuffed I'm sure he'll make he is one heck of a fighter hopefully the Pedialyte will give him enough nutrition until then that's my biggest fear I pray I can save him I hate watching a animal suffer all the vets keep asking if I want to put him down and I can't do that I'm gonna try my best do that if he does pass at least I'll know I did everything I could and made him comfortable and he knows someone finally cared

If you contact a shelter, be sure to ask if they are stictly no-kill or not.  They have to tell you.  Our county's shelter is a kill shelter, and when you ask them to tell you, they say yes in very embarrassed tones.

@Anslee91
I found this one on Google:

http://cat.rescueshelter.com/Kentucky

Call one of those places and see if they can help you.  I think this cat needs to be seen emergently.  Mouth breathing is not good.  May be  pneumonia.
thank you very much I will call them maybe they'll help if I tell them that I'm willing to take him I just need vet help

@Anslee91  I finally got in touch with a nice lady at one of the rescues who said for you to call her and she will help you find someone to help this kitty.  I will send you her text number by private message ok?  When the private message box comes up, click ok to go to my message and that number.
