My female Ellie for about  6 months now has been peeing on my clothes before she was very anti-social didn't want to be touched or held wouldn't lay on the bed if you were awake or home now she is very social will go if you pick her up but begs very loudly for attention and sleeps with me everyday she has turned into a major cuddle bug. Now when she doesn't get the attention she wants she pees all over my things just my clothes and my towels never on the furniture or on my boyfriends things. She will pull just my clothes out just to pee on them. Very spiteful little thing. How do I break her of this my boyfriend is getting very mad and trying to convince me to get rid of her if she doesn't stop.

Have you taken Ellie to the vet to rule out this being a medical issue?  One of my adult cats had a Urinary Tract Infection and started peeing on my hubby's recliner in the den.  This was an easy and not very expensive issue to treat.  Once he was treated the peeing outside the litter box stopped completely.

She was at the vet at the end of January start of February to get spayed and all her shots (different times) and they said she was in perfect health I can take her back the vet just to be sure there isn't anything wrong with her though. I don't know why but it is always my things never my boyfriends and I am the one who feeds her, cuddles with her, cleans her litter box (she was mine before he moved in) so shouldnt she do it to his things not mine?

Cat's don't think the same way we do. It's probably not out of spite. Like, sometimes cats pee on things to help them feel secure or to claim things as their own (or merge scents with you on your things). Also, since she's peed on your things before she might be picking up on her pervious scent and remarking it. Using an enzyme cleaner marketed toward pet stains could help completely remove her scent. Also, you might could change up the places your clothes are to make it less of a routine for her. My cat was peeing on dirty clothes I kept on the floor as a teenager, and putting them up in a standing plastic container she couldn't get to broke her of the habit. Also a closed closet or a closed bathroom she can't get into might be good places to keep things.

She use to only do it to clothes and towels I left on the ground but now she will climb into the laundry basket and pull my clothes out just so she can pee on them.

Ellie went to the vet today no UTI or any other infection or medical problem she is in perfect health. Meaning it is all behavioral after thinking about it for a while the only change that happened was me getting my third cat Oliver. So we believe she is getting jealous and trying to show me she is still here as well by taking it out my things that smell like me. Tonight after the vet we got a new type of litter just in case it has something to do with that and a new laundry basket with a lid so Ellie cant get things out of it. Now I just need to make a certain amount of time each day just just Ellie without my boys around.
