Cat In Tree

My cat was missing for 3 days and I just found about 3 hours ago in a tree about a block down from my house the tree is very tall and the I called the fireman and they said it's too high I called for him and he got close but the branches are too high what can I do to get him to come down

Can you call the fire department back and say that he came down much closer?

No they said their ladder is too short I'm just going to wait a few hours to see if he comes down by himself

Perhsps you could try calling local radio stations or news channels to see if they will share your story. Perhaps you could try calling companies in your area that do satellite tv installations on houses. Try calling general construction contractors. Check with your local hardware stores to see if anyone can rent you a ladder that is tall enough. You can also check if there are any lumberjack devices in your area.

Another thing I just thought of is try to posting flyers in your area.  Perhaps someone who lives in your area will be able to help and get in touch with you.  You could also try calling some of your local utility companies. Maybe you will get a cat person on the phone and they will offer to come help you on their own time.  Tree Trimming services would be another option to look at.

I hope you get your kitty down soon.  

Perhaps you could also provide a little bit more information regarding where you live.  Maybe someone on here who lives near you would be able to provide more idea's.

The guys who prune trees call them they have all the rigging to climb very tall trees!

Once a pitbull scared my 2 cats one went up a tree to 3rd storey level 3 men climbed up

plucked her off carried her down passing her from one to the other. Have people prepared with blankets to catch her just incase

Called fire department to

retrieve 4 foot iguana neighbor had lost and they refused to assist it can be extremely

frustrating. Contact local cat rescues Spca for advice.

Go on facebook post in the pet sections a great group of animal lovers ready to help others in need regarding pets period ask for urgent emergency help explain situation someone WILL help you!

*you didn't say if it's private property or public park whomever owns property maybe able to help or consent to chopping portion of tree-getting water to this kitty is needed urgently, hydro companies maybe able to assist.
