Good morning!
 And Happy Friday!
(And happy long weekend to those of us who have them)

Easy question this morning. In the US, we are celebrating our July 4th holiday on Monday with fireworks and picnics and parties and all kind of fun. In honor of our July 4th holiday, a very simple question:

What do you want on your burger?

Around here, Dear Richard makes the hamburgers and they are delicious. A bit of really good Cheddar, some ketchup, some mustard, and some of my homemade canned zucchini relish. On a toasted onion bun. Life is good!

hmm toasted BUTTERED bun of course!

I have two dif ways-depending on what I have on hand-if I went shopping-

Ranch dressing, lettuce-darker green the better-tomatoes and red onions and if I feel like it jalapeño slices and extra sharp cheddar

OR

mayo ketchup n relish. sometimes mustard but I feel that ketchup gives it  a better flavor.

I can have them one of two ways;

With cheese, and just ketchup

   or

With cheese, ketchup, mayo, with or without lettuce...

yum... a nice thick, cheeseburger! yum...topped with ketchup...double yum...

I'm pretty basic with burgers. While I can enjoy fancy ones my preference is the classic; lettuce (prefer it well chopped), thinly sliced tomato and onion. American cheese. A bit of mayo on the bun. Sometimes pickle slices if they are the really good garlic sours (I usually pull the dill pickles off commercial burgers).  Not a big fan of ketchup.

EVERYTHING :D. I like Culver's deluxe bacon cheddar burgers, with ketchup and mustard added (since that's not included on a deluxe). So that's. . .bacon, cheddar, onions, lettuce, tomato, pickles, mayo, mustard, and ketchup. I want it all runni g down my arm by the time I'm done, lol.

I don't like homemade burgers as much because they're usually too thick---I like the thin smashed patties like at Culver's. And smashing the patty might be hard on a grill ;). Although I guess you could smash it on a plate and then put it on the grill.

Cheese, ketchup, mayo, relish. Yum. There's this greasy spoon type place near me. Considering the area I live in, it's a bit more $$$ than most greasy spoons, but the food is tantabulous. I was normally a hot dog kinda person there, but one day decided I wanted a cheeseburger. Been a convert every since at that place. Which reminds me, I haven't been there in awhile now.

It depends on my mood!

Usually i want cheddar, bacon, lettuce, tomato, ketchup and/or mustard and pickles or relish if there is no bacon (which there usually isn't at home, I order bacon cheeseburgers in restaurants if I get one usually).  But sometimes i want mayo, spicy mustard, lettuce and red onion.  Sometimes BBQ sauce!  I've ordered them in restaurants with onion rings/strings and bbq sauce or a chipolte sauce.  Both are very good!  And I don't like onion rings! But it adds the onion flavor and a nice crunch.  Sometimes I like them with sauteed mushrooms and onions and swiss or jack cheese.

I've really reduced my red meat consumption this year; replacing ground beef with ground turkey and things. But man; sometimes I crave a burger so bad!!

i like a burger with a few sweet bread & butter pickle slices under the melted cheese. i prefer little pools of ketchup, mustard, and relish on the side (some bbq sauce would be fine too) -- so i can choose as i eat, dipping my bites of burger in one or more of them. i don't necessarily need a burger bun.
