Constipated cat

Hello,

My cat got a dewormer about 4'says ago and hasn't been able to poop at all. She squats on her litter box but nothing comes out. She's eating a drinking ok but seems like she's not feeling great ;( is this a normal side effect from the medicine?

I think I am on the same boat. I tried a tiny bit of coconut oil on her food to see if it would help and nothing. If she dont poop tonight Ill take her to the vet tomorrow.

Anybody have any insight?

4 days with zero poop is a pretty long time. The fact that she's squeezing and not going concerns me. You could try some catlax but if she doesn't go in the next day or she stops eating or starts vomiting I would go to the vet immediately.

Update: she pooped a tiny bit last night but it was really hard. I called the vet today and they said to try giving her 1/4 tsp of miralax in her water. If that doesn't work I'll bring her to the vet today.

Great hope miralax works. The tiny bit of coconut oil I gave her worked or maybe it was a coincidence. Try it you have nothing to lose.

It must have been like 1/4 teaspoon because she weights like 1.5lbs or 700grs.

Plus feedong wet with a bit of dry food mixed.
