I have been using dr elsey's liter for a few years now, but lately it's just not the same. I've used MANY kitty liters. I was thinking of trying Cats Pride. Its one of the few I have not tried but It's definitely more expensive. I have 5 boxes to kee filled. Anyone have suggestions

I use World's Best Cat Litter and it works quite well with my two cats, and my three cats before them.  Unfortunately it is pricey.  I find it has good odor control as long as you scoop regularly.

I'm kind of in the same boat minniesunshine minniesunshine . I have been using a litter made by a Lucas holistic pet food store (Hollywood Feed) and really like how it clumps and the fact it spent take long at all to clump (very important with lots of kitties in the house!). However, the last several batches of bags I have purchased (buy 5-10 at a time) have been pretty dusty.

I am currently retrying litters.
Out of the Cat's Pride ones I like the unscented regular Fresh & Light (the Ultimate Care is *very* dusty, despite what it says!) and the unscented Naturals. The latter probably being my preferred. (It's also like white beach sand.)

I have used the clay-free litters and just haven't been impressed (though it is likely fine if you only have 1-2 cats...I have 6, along with several long term fosters.)

I know several members like Arm & Hammer's super scoop. This may be what I retry next.

Try using Purina Tidy cats Cat litter. They are 99.6% dust free, low tracking, triple odor protection and they have one for multiple cat household. I have been using it for a year now and my cats love digging on non clumping cat litter since the day I got them and when I let them use Purina they would always dig on it and my house doesn't smell at all.Try it.

Try the Arm & Hammer clump and seal. I find it to be superior in odor control.

I use Tidy Cats and love how it clumps, and it isn't very dusty to me, except when you first pour it.  I've been looking for a better litter though so I'm subscribing to this thread to see what everyone else says!  I just don't care for the smell of the Tidy Cat stuff.  It controls the pee and poop odors, but it's the perfume-smell to it that I don't like.  My cats honestly don't seem to care what I use, they haven't refused to use any that I've tried.  I tried the Arm & Hammer and it didn't seem to clump well to me, I had gooey spots in the bottom of the box, but I have big (BIG) boys that pee like cows!

I use Arm & Hammer Microguard. It is fantastic at controlling odor, and clumps extremely well.
I haven't seen the Microguard--thanks!.  I'll look for it and try it.  I really liked how the arm & Hammer smelled!!  I just had to scrape the goo off the litter pan, it was bad.  But then again, like I said, they pee like cows on a flat rock!!

Thanks so much for all your responses! My main concerns is for my kiittys. I clean all of their boxes atleAst twice a day. Dr elsey's used to work really well but it's not clumping n it's tracking all over. And I don't want my babies licking it off their paws. I just want the healthiest liter! No fragrance either. I don't think a GOOD liter should need a scent . That's just masking the odor. I think I'll try the arm n hammer micro guard, I have never tried that one. I really was going to try the cats pride, but I've read some bad reviews. It's so hard to change when u have 7 boxes to fill ! Lol

It's new and I heard about here on TCS. I watched for weeks before it showed up in the grocery.
I looked last night in my Walmart and they didn't have it, but I'm going to venture to Petco or Petsmart this weekend and I'll check there.  Like I said, I really liked that it didn't have the strong air-freshener type smell to it, and I think the cats liked that too.

I found it online at Petco, so I'm going to go by the store and see if they have it in the next couple of days.  It looks like a green box.  It does say "Fresh Scent", so that may be a concern.  The other plain Arm & Hammer I got didn't have a scent like that.

To repeat, the Arm & Hammer Microguard is new on the market, and it's slow to work its way into stores. Just keep watching for it.

Lots of opinions here but I've tried them ALL and my favorite is Arm & Hammer.  I get it from Amazon and the price isn't bad.  I have two cats in my home. Hope this helps.
