Hello! I am new here

Hello my name is Miranda and I have three cats a black and white medium hair named Tyson he is 1.5 years old, a long hair calico named Ellie she is just over a year and my youngest is Oliver who is a short hair orange tabby who just turned 1 on 06/07. Oliver is my special cat since he has cat herpes but it isn't contagious to my other cats thankfully it makes it so when he gets stressed his eyes goop shut and so does his nose making it so he is a semi frequent visitor to the vet but it has been 4 month since his last flare up but we will be probably back soon . Anyway I am glad to be here and hope to learn a lot of new things

Hi and welcome to TCS I'm glad your boy has been having a good run. I have a boy with allergies. I think we've spent more time at the vets in the 2 years we've had him than we did my other 2 kitties entire lives so I know the feeling!

Welcome to the site, we all look forward to hearing about your beautiful cats! (and won't get cross eyed like SOME people when we talk about them!) Did you know you can get Lysine treats from Amazon or your local pet store and it does a wonderful job of building up the immune system to fight off herpes? You might have to experiment to see which treat they like the best, but it sure wouldn't hurt any of them. PS a little hint, I've noticed a lot of newbies answer old threads, so make sure you look at the date or you might be disappointed that they don't answer back. Of course if it's for info the date doesn't matter. You'll find there are a lot of knowledgeable cat people on this site, HUNDREDS of years of combined experience. Kiss your babies for me! Welcome to TCS!  Do you have photos of Tyson, Ellie and Oliver?  We'd love to see them.  Fingers crossed that Oliver stays symptom free for a very long time.
