My kitten has a lump on its jaw

My 6 month old kitten all of a sudden became lethargic and wobbly within the last 3 days.

Now I noticed today she has a lump on her left jawline. It doesn't bother her. She quickly became lethargic and is minimally eating, but drinking often.

She is not herself at ALL. Was very a energetic, playful and loving kitten until this happened. Drastic change. Extremely noticeable.


Btw, she is an indoor cat only. No cut/abrasions on the skin.

She lets me touch it and it's not hard. Any ideas on what this could be??

Hi @christina76  That sounds very similar to Forest. He is drinking a lot more than usual. The antibiotics and the anti-inflammatory seem to have made him feel a bit better, he is eating by himself now. The lump hasn't gone down at all though. I don't know if it's getting bigger or if I'm just imagining it, but it's still there. About the size of a grape and very hard.

Has your kitten been to see the vet? Is she vaccinated? I recommend getting her checked over as soon as you can, better to deal with these things before they develop into a really serious problem.

What did they give your guy? The steroids and antibiotics? We just got her. Was going to give her the shots myself, but won't now. Not unless she's better.
