Hi I'm first time Cat owner. I adopted Luna a week ago. She's 10 weeks now, she's really cute she welcomes guests even though she is really An alert Cat. I guess curiosity gets the better of her. She loves to get pet by random people but when I pet her she playfully bites me or paws me tough love I guess haha :'D Also she had potbelly so I unwormed her and vaccineted her. I picked her from a barn. Owners didn't know the breed of her mother nor her father he was a feral after all. I probably should have looked at her mother beginner mistake :( She had 2 Orange/white tabby brothers in the liter. I did some Research and came out with dsh/msh or a mixed long hair breed parent. What do you guys think ?

I'm curious on this - she looks exactly like my kitty that I just adopted.  I'm guessing Mackrel Tabby mix of some sort.  The Mackrel tabby comes from the letter M that is on the top of the forehead.  The coloring is identical to my girl - hopefully some of the experts can answer.

She has a creme nosepiece, no?  She is thus a diluted tortie, ie blue and creme in color.  She is a mackerel tabby, and she carries white.  These creme spots seems well togehter in visible spots. ie she is a calico of sorts.   What gives?  Diluted caliby??

As you see, she has essentially exactly the same colors and pattern as her brothers.  But brothers are seldom torties nor calicos.

And she is diluted - its an extra gene, making black look as blue (grey) and red looking as crreme.

Very sweet!

In unsure cases we look at the tail, if there are tufts between the toes, and in third hand, hairs in the ears (lest reliable of the three).

Also, a kitten can sometimes change quite a lot till its grown.  Sometimes it looks alike a changeling.
