So my kitten it's three of them.. the mother died sadly.. so i took them from street few weeks ago.. they're were well they were eating and drinking but after few days they started to not eat and drink.. i feed them princess cat food with a little warm water. The other kitten died :( i just saw it lifeless yesterday and now another kitten is dead he was catching his breath when i saw it and the heart beat suddenly lowering. Now i bought a bio-milk from pet store for my 1 remaining kitten and i took it to vet.. i know i was naive not to get them there as soon as i can. the veterinarian suggested me to buy amoxicillin and ascorbic acid.. i fed the kitten amoxicillin i mixed it on water and use a dropper but still he is not drinking it so i force it gently but he still not eating.. what should i do??

Currently the kitten is still lying  on his box.. i don't know if the amoxicillin will take effect.. i also gave it a tiki-tiki for vitamin C but still no effect..

i'm afraid he will die too =/ it's so depressing thinking when you check him again and find out he's dead.

Try smearing some honey, syrup or sugar water on the kitten's gums to see if this perks him up. Do this immediately.

Does the kitten milk state if it is meant to be a substitute for mom's milk or if it just a treat?

About how old is the kitten?

Regardless for the immediate time, I suggest feeding the kitten the milk using a syringe or dropper.

Yeah the milk is for kitten and dog it's called bio-milk the kitten i think is 8 weeks old he can walk his eye is open and ear is too and can run fast.

i gave him tiki-tiki for vitamin c it's sweet flavour i also keep giving him milk using dropper but he's not drinking it so i just forcelly open his mouth and drop the milk on his mouth corner i also try rubbing his throad so he will drink it. now he is still lying down i'm really hopeless

I'm not familiar with the vitamin C. But, I do suggest getting some honey or sugar water and rubbing some on his gums, even if the Vitamin C is sweetened. (Do you know what sweetener is used? Xylitol is toxic to cats.)

There is no xylitol on the ingredient but there is invert sugar, caramel, natural orange flavor, vitamins, sucrose , natural rice bean extract etc.

UPDATE: he ate one piece of the cat food i tried to wet some but he didn't eat it

I would be concerned about the seasonings/spices used and in what quantity. Garlic and onions are toxic to cats, as well as others.

I suggest sticking to the kitten milk, or even doe fresh or frozen goat's milk is good.

It would be ok to scramble an egg or feed the yolk to the kitten. (If poultry/eggs is not safe for raw consumption by humans, make sure you cook any eggs/meat before feeding.)

I posted earlier a thread regarding my three kittens where two died, now i'm taking care of the remaining one visited the vet and gave us prescription (amoxicillin , ascorbic acid) i bought amoxicillin and gave it to the kitten can't find ascorbic acid around so i gave it tiki-tiki vitamin c.

8 hours now still no changes to his behaviour he just still sits like weak and he hides often. i read some article saying the kitten maybe experiecing hypoglycemia and need immediate sugar.. so i give him i mixed it with water so it can go inside the dropper what else should i do to increase his blood sugar to right level

Good that he is eating and showing improvement! Yes, tuna (preferable in water, not oil) is ok to use for 3-5 days as he needs to eat and gain his strength. Continue giving some of the kitten milk as well.

Where are you located? What country? What brands of food are available to you?

im from philippines and the pet shop is 2 bus drive. also the kitten milk it says for "veterinary use only" but he drinks it using dropper i also give him fresh water using dropper cause he don't drink unless i use the dropper. now currently hes back to being quiet i'm currently petting him i won't sleep and keep track to his situation cause i don't want to wake up again seeing a lifeless kitten.

Ok. The most important thing is to keep him hydrated and fed. Check his gums several times a day to make sure they are pink and moist.

Continue offering him the tuna (rinse the oil off if you cannot get tuna in water) and giving him fluids with the dropper.

He he starts going lifeless again, put more sugar water/honey/syrup on his gums. Just smear a littler along the upper gums.

If you have access to Fancy Feast this would be a good option for food (particularly the canned food.) If not, if you will let us know what brands are at the store, we will try to help you have a selection.

I would not recommend using the cranberry juice (even if it was just cranberries). However, this particular juice includes grape juice and grapes are toxic to animals.

Also, do you know what your vet is using the absorbing acid to treat? In a quick search, I found that, unlike humans, dogs and cats naturally produce asorbic acid. However, it also states that asorbic acid may be used to treat FIV, Liver Disease and certain Toxcitiy syndromes (like acetaminophen (Tylenol) toxicity). It can also be used to help prevent struvite crystal formation.

Excessive use of Asorbic Acid can cause calculi to form in the kidneys, intestinal irritation and diarrhea.

Did your vet tell you how much asorbic acid to give each day? Does he think that your kitten has liver damage? FIV?

I'm going to page one of our members that also lives in the Philippines to offer suggestions for food and any other advice. @juleska, do you have any advice on food for helpmykitty10, or any other advice?
