Hi there! My cat just had a healthy litter of four kittens three days ago. They are nursing fine. She has a great milk supply. The queen is also eating and drinking like she should be. I've noticed this weird thing she does. Only after having her kittens. She will do a circle or two and have a deep meowing sound then lay on her side. ItsItme and my fiance and two year old and we frequently check on North and her babies. Is she doing this behavior to tell us to give her space?

It sounds more like she is trying to get comfortable, and also communicating with her kittens. The sound is called trilling.

Is she in a private space with her kittens, such as in a bedroom closet with the door ajar, and food, water, and litter nearby?

Most new moms prefer a quiet, dark, private space with few interruptions in the early weeks.
