Hi my baby girl paige who is 13 has all of these. Hyperthroidism at 7 ibd at 9 now kidney disease. I'm trying to find someone who maybe has a cat with all these that I can talk to. We have been having a really rough time of it. She is now on steriods everyday, methtimazole, pepcid and fluids every other day. If someone can give me some advice it would be great. Right now she just keeps getting UTI'S like every month.

I have had three cats with kidney disease, but not the other two.  I believe there are other members who HAVE had and possibly still do have cats with all these issues, although I can't recall who.

If you have specific question, though, it might be easier for us to try to address them.  Also, are you familiar with this site for the kidney disease:  http://www.felinecrf.org/index.htm  It is my "go to" for anything kidney related, and they do address other issues, because kidney cats often get other things in conjunction with the kidney disease.

They discuss hyperthyroidism and pancreatitis in relation to kidney disease on this page of that website:  http://www.felinecrf.org/related_diseases.htm

I'm guessing the steroids are for her IBD?  Are they suppressing her immune system and that's what's causing the excess UTI's...is that what the Vet thinks?  Some kidney cats are just prone to UTI's, and there isn't much you can do about it except treat them with antibiotics
 http://www.felinecrf.org/symptoms_regulation_body_fluid.htm

for your little one.  Please let us know if you have specific questions even if no one answers that they have a furbaby with all three of your little one's issues.

Thank you so much! I will check out the kidney page. Paige is at the vet right now to find out what is up NOW. I feel so bad putting her through this again, now when they do anything to her they have to sedate her cause she hisses and bites.

There are few OTC foods that are as low as prescription kidney foods, however, there are many foods that are fairly low, AND you can always add phosphorus binders to her existing food if those foods work well for her IBD, as long as they don't work against her hyperthyroidism.  You might discuss that with your Vet.

Here is a chart of most foods out there and their phosphorus content.  I'm guessing you are already feeding wet food, since she has IBD?  This is the chart for wet food, however, there is also one for dry food.  It's in order of phosphorus content, so makes searching a little hard...I created a spreadsheet by cutting and pasting from this chart so I could sort.  http://www.felinecrf.org/canned_food_usa.htm#canned_usa

As you can see when you look at the chart, there are MANY foods that are available at the big box stores

Well she now has a liver infection from having IBD. That's why she's had no appetite. Started flagyl yesterday she's starting to eat now.

My kidney cat used to get liver issues once in awhile.  She didn't have IBD, but for some reason her liver values would get out of whack, she'd get antibiotics, her values would get better and all would be good for awhile, then they would get whacky again.  Did your Vet also recommend Denamarin for her Liver?  How did they detect the infection in the liver, if I may ask?  Was it from a blood test?

Yes it was from blood work. I guess there's four tests for the liver and just one was double what it was suppose to be, I'm just really worried. She's barely eating and the vet said wait till wed. To see if the flagyl kicks in if not we'll do baytril.

Also if you don't mind me asking, at what point do you make the decision that it's at that point. Right now I'm giving ear meds for thyroid steriods for ibd. Pepcid, fluids every other day and sometimes I fell like I'm torturing her every day :(

This is a question all of us with chronically ill cats ask ourselves   What is her quality of life normally?  Don't count right now when she's not feeling well because of this liver infection.  Normally does she interact with you, eat pretty well, play like normal, seem happy?  If she seems content and happy and pain free, then there is no reason to make "that decision".  If not, then it may be time to think about it.  If she has more bad days than good, then it may be time
This is something you might want to discuss with your Vet too, as they can give you a better picture of her overall health.  With our old girl, it was so traumatic for her to get pilled that we did everything via either injection or transdermal gel.  Once we started doing that, her qualify of life improved greatly.  So she got an appetite enhancer via transdermal gel every 3 days, and got prescription Pepcid (Famuditine, I believe) by injection, every other day.  The injections were so easy because the needle was only about 1/8 inch long and went into her scruff just like with the sub-qs.  She didn't really like her sub-q/s, but I started warming a towel in the dryer and wrapping her in it for them, and that helped a LOT (plus a always warmed the fluids going into her).

Just trying to think of ways to make Paige's life less stressful.  But if she truly feels awful most of the time, then it's time to let her go.  Maybe this Quality of Life Scale will help you:  http://www.thecatsite.com/t/320456/quality-of-life-scale-when-to-euthanize
