Good you are weighting them. Its the easiest way to have control over them, if you arent very experienced. 2,75 ounes isnt that bad, but you of course dont want to drop, and - have some extra vigilancy on her.Just weighed them. All above 3 ounces except one who is 2.75 ounces.
There is one that doesn't seem to be feeding as much. Its not the lightest one though. It was the first one to come out and did take a while to come out fully. What should I do to make sure it survives?Good you are weighting them. As SArthur said, with 6 there WILL be some runt - ie someone whom dont manage to push off the others, and not getting to the best place, ... etc etc... and become the weak runt.
So some sort of rotation system may be necessary. You will see.
Anyways, Im very happy although the early water broken, the self delivery went nicely good - exactly what we hoped for.
And theah, that B&W pattern is quite strong
Be ready to extrafeed it with a needleless syringe. One of the good points here is, with a syringe they dont need to be good sucklers, its enough he can swallow. Train on it some, its somewhat tricky, improtant he dont gets fluids in wrong throat. There is one that doesn't seem to be feeding as much. Its not the lightest one though. I do have replacement milk. How often should I give it to them?Be ready to extrafeed it with a needleless syringe. Use some good kmr - exact which depends on what you can get - or goats milk. Raw goats milk is best, but almost any full fat is OK.
IF he is weak, you can try and perk in some extra energy my smearing glucose sugor on his lips and gum, for example a water solution of white caro syrup or thick honey water.
That is the idea, exact details we will take later on.

I did weigh them all again, they all gained at least 0.15 ounces except the 'runt' who lost about 0.10 ounces. You may want to weigh this kitten every 12 hours for now.
Good news! Hes gained the weight back and another 0.10 ounces.Okay. You need to begin supplementing the runt as StefanZ explained, using a needleless syringe.
It's tummy down, head up, a drop at a time in the side of the kitten's mouth. Let it swallow and breathe, and go again. Losing is not good.
You had the two measures just a couple of hours apart??. They dont add so much that quick - I suspect one of the measurements wasnt exact - probably the when he got down... So he is really going up, but very slowly. The Yellow Alert flag is still on, till you get realiable adding count showing good growth.Good news! Hes gained the weight back and another 0.10 ounces.
The best you can do is see that she's gaining. If she is not, or losing, or not gaining enough, you need to supplement.
What was her birth weight and what is her weight now?
She was 3oz when born and is now 3.6ozThe best you can do is see that she's gaining. If she is not, or losing, or not gaining enough, you need to supplement.
