We have a lot of strays around our apartment . When we are able to catch them we have someone that spays and fix them. And either bring them back or find them home. I saw a new cat that I hadn't seen before (usually see the same ) and she was covered in ringworms I have kept her inside to help get her better but now I think she is pregnant. She is starting to get a belly and her nipples are pinkish white. How far along would you think she is if she just started showing?and any advise would be great for pregnancy and after birth. We will be getting her fixed as soon as we can after she has her babies. And keeping the kittens till they are fixed so I can be sure they won't have babies.

Thank you for helping all these cats, and this one in particular!

How are you treating the ringworm? Do you have oral meds or a topical or both?

A pregnant cat's tummy begins to show around the 5-week mark.

Can you post a picture of her?

I'll share some links to articles, and feel free to ask all your questions here!

I haven't read the ringworm articles so I hope they help.  You  can also search ringworm in the health forum for threads on the issue.  You probably should check with a vet if you are giving meds/antibiotics to make sure they are safe for a pregnant cat.  Here is a recent thread from the health forum where the cat had ringworm.  It doesn't have a happy ending yet but she did manage to clear up the ringworm.

If she's just starting to show, you could consider having her spayed now and ending the pregnancy. Something to consider, especially if she's in poor health.

I would guess she's about 4 weeks along. If you do decide to proceed, start feeding her unlimited dry kitten food and meals of wet kitten food now. She can continue on that diet through nursing. Mom and babies can all be fixed when the babies are 8 weeks old, though it's great if mom and babies can stay together until they are 10-12 weeks at least.

Thank you for all that you do!

Edit - I was going off of her nipple color and showing for how far along she is, but the others are probably right that it's 5 weeks.

Pregnant cats begin to show about week 5.  You will feel the kittens moving around week 7.  If you know when her nipples changed, that was day 21.

Her ringworms have cleared up now. Just recently. Her hair has started growing back. We used a shampoo that some one from a shelter group told me to used. Worked great. Thank you for the info though.
