My kitten is about 11 weeks old now and twice a day I call it his "nap time" because he gets super rambunctious and then crawls into my lap closes his eyes and cries until he falls asleep!

If I try to put him down once he is asleep, sometimes it will work and he'll sleep in his bed but usually he wakes up and crawls back in my lap and cries again to sleep.

It is only twice a day, morning and afternoon, at night he sleeps in his kitty bed most of the night lol

Does anyone else's kitten do this?

My parents' youngest cat does this (they found her as a stray at about 12 weeks old).

She particularly likes to curl around you neck and cuddle in. My best guess is that they like the comfort of knowing there's another creature nearby - sort of like when they're still with their litter. Younger cats too seem to like regular naps (just like kids).

I often call Sinbad my little babycat, because he cries if he wakes up alone. He also sucks his toes until he falls asleep, like a little baby sucking its thumb.
