Ok I've made a home in here with her on a tiny mattress next to her. She's loving belly rubs right now. I have food and water out just in case. I also made the bed in the box. The litter box is close and I think we're set. I'll keep you guys updated as I am so excited but so nervous. My little baby is having babies! Hey everyone. Nala still hasn't had her babies it seems that she has stopped panting and contracting. Not sure. She's been very restless though. I'm not sure what's going on but I have made an appointment for the doctor in an hour. Hopefully everything is ok.

At the vet. We are getting an X-ray to see how many and what position they're in. She is very close but she's scared.

X Ray shows 5 kittens! One of the heads looks very close and ready to come out! I'll be taking her back to her cozy space and we'll keep watching but I'm going to try and give her more space.

She'll need to settle down. Interference can cause them to delay labor. Well, are you ready for 5 kittens? [emoji]128522[/emoji]

Yes she is panting again and laying in her spot! I can't wait but I must be patient! Let's hope everything goes smoothly now.

Yes, it can take awhile or go quick. It's hard to know. I do hope it goes smoothly for you both.

Do you have supplies ready? Towels, scissors, thread or dental floss, heating pad or hot water bottle for kittens?

Yes I have scissors, dental floss, gloves, towels. A box with a blanket, and I have a heating blanket will that work? I also have a mini heater but it is very hot here. I live in California. If not I can have someone heat up a water bottle if needed.

All of that sounds just fine. The heat source is to keep kittens warm if mom is still busy delivering more and cannot lie with them. [emoji]128522[/emoji]

Yes indeed... I've been wondering about her too. Hope all is well and that you just haven't posted because you're so busy with happy and healthy mama and babies.

Hey everyone. Nala is still pregnant. The vet said cats can have kittens up to 8 days after showing signs. It's been 4 or 5 days since I noticed her panting and nesting. The vets said to call her if she doesn't have them by tomorrow. Then we may be talking about and emergency c section in the next couple of days or even sooner. Not sure. I'm hoping she has them today.

The vet would need to take an x-ray first, and if she's not in distress and kittens appear okay, ask for a shot of oxytocin first to see if it will bring on strong enough contractions for her to have them. C-section should be the last resort.
