Safeguard for dogs used for cats?

Has anyone used safeguard for dogs on their cats? I was looking to get some deworming meds for my cats and i came across alot of article saying that safeguard 8in1 is safe to be used for cats, just adjust the dose accordingly. They have one for 10lbs dogs so naturally use half..give or take.
Apparently the nice thing with safeguard is its used for round, hook, and tape. And it has alot of good reviews on various sites. Thanks

It took me awhile to find the active ingredient for it and it is febendazole which is also known as Panacur.  Panacur is safe for cats but beyond that I know nothing about dosages for kitties.  Maybe someone who does or has done rescue can help.  http://www.petplace.com/article/drug-library/library/over-the-counter/fenbendazole-panacur         @Red Top Rescue     @catwoman707  

I don't know dosages for that one.  I have used Panacur (fenbendazole) in the past, mixed with two other things, green & white capsules, probably generic, that I got from the Humane Society for the kittens I was fostering for them.  You can probably google the dosage per pound and find out oif its same for dogs as cats. Some of the dog wormers need to be doubled in dose for cats (Nemex2 for instance).
