Awwww, that's a hard one! I have so many! But, if I have to choose, I think I would say I have always loved "Adore" by Prince, (my all time  favorite artist!!) &

"What a wonderful world" by Louis Armstrong.  But seriously, I love so many, it's hard to have just one or two.

I could probably list one for each kind of music I listen to. Or better yet, by artist. Yea, that would be easier. LOL!

And welcome by the way, I see you're new.

I have completely fallen in love with Prince. He was truly an amazing man. And nobody who looked that good should be able to sing that well! I've been listening to his older music more so than the more recent songs. But the other day when I was cleaning the house, I had him blaring away on my iPod. And I was dancing along to everything I had.  A friend sent me a link to a live version of Head. I watched it and then emailed him and said, "In answer to your unspoken question, yes, a cold shower was needed!" Whoa!

But my all-time favorite song will always be Smoke on the Water by Deep Purple. That song just rocks!

Welcome to TCS, lovefive!

Two that I really love are The Right Life    by Seal and

It's A Beautiful Day    by U2.    Of course, any songs by these artists I love.

Mine is Moments In Love (Quiet Storm Version) by the English group The Art Of Noise. It's about seven minutes in legnth, and it's an instrumental. It stirs up a lot of emotion for me. It was playing when I lost my--how shall I say--my virtue; it was playing the first time I crossed the Canadian border on vacation in 1992, and it was playing when I learned of my mom's passing. I never miss a chance to listen to it. First heard it on an urban radio station back in 1986; loved it ever since.

Where do I even begin?  I don't have just ONE  all-time favorite but many all-time favorites.  If I may.

Elton John's The Last Song always makes me cry.  I don't mean just mist up, I mean cry, tears streaming, from the moment I hear the string intro fade in to the very last chord.  I'm a mess.  I don't know how he sang it without choking up.

Ordinary World - Duran Duran - never was a fan of theirs until this song.  It came on just over a year after my daddy died, so it was very meaningful to me even until this day.

O Happy Day - The Edwin Hawkins Singers.  Yes it's a gospel song, which is a strange favorite for an agnostic, but I dare anyone to not like this song!  Lol.

There are more, so many more!  Great thread!
