Hi my kitten is 5 months old and he eats 3/4 pouch every three hours ... I thought as they grow they eat only 3 times daily but mine is 7am,10,1,4,7 and then last feed at ten
He has dry food during night too lol
When will he begin to eat less so
I can leave him for longer then three hours ?
If I go over three hours he becomes aggressive and attacks me and bites and scratches ..

Kittens should be allowed to eat as much as they want for the first year. He's still young so he's growing quite a bit and needs the calories. He'll stop needing as much food when he stops growing.

You can leave him for more than 3 hours. I'd just put wet and dry out before you leave, and let him snack throughout the day. It's okay to leave wet food out for quite awhile. Just give him more wet when you get home if he's out.

Nope, I wouldn't leave raw out for hours, but wet is fine. My cats eat it immediately, but I know other members of TCS leave it out for hours if their cats are grazers. Cats digest differently than us, so they don't have as many issues with food as we humans do.

Yes, I know. I feed both raw and wet. I was saying I wouldn't leave raw food out, but wet food is fine.

Canned (wet) food is fine if left out all day
The food is already cooked so it won't go bad. It might get dry but most cats are ok with eating it. if you're really worried, you can use a programmable timed feeder to keep the food from drying out too quickly and / or freeze the fodo into portion sizes and set a frozen cube into the feeder or bowl to slowly defrost.

My kitten is 6 months old and he eats 4 times a day (started with 5 times a day). I feed him around 160gms each time for the morning and night feed (6am and 8:30pm) and in between interval of around 4 hours, I feed him around 80-100gms each time.
Though he licked his plate clean  and walk around the plate to see if there are anymore food left by the side of the plate and on the floor, he does not ask for more food after he finishes his meal. He'll call when he is hungry. I tried giving him more for the morning and night feed, but he just cannot finish all. So I roughly gauge the amount to feed him so that no food is wasted.
Best if can stick to a feeding routine so that your kitten can get use to the timing.
I feed him wet food.
Not sure if the bites and scratches are linked to his hunger

Just a note on the aggression, my two are 7-8 months old and always want to play just after eating. They're still kittens so I think they have a mad moment with the energy boost.

Try having a play session, it'll redirect the energy whether it's food or something else related.
