Cat hasn't given birth in one hour intervals. Kinda freaking out.

I think she's going to be having more kittens soon. Do you have any advice on cleaning the sac as well as pinching the cord? What exactly do you mean by rubbing the kitten?

The sac needs to be opened immediately. You can do this with your fingers. Pull the kitten out.

Then pinch the cord about an inch from the kitten's naval. Use your fingernail to pinch it off. This is to stop any bleeding from the cord. It's best to tie it quickly with thread.

You want to take a towel and clean the baby's face and rub the kitten all over to clean it, dry it, and hopefully get it breathing. Rub it as if you were drying it after a bath.

Any other materials you can tie it with? I heard you can tie it with dental floss.

She hasn't given birth ever since and there's no current sign that she will. My cat is still following me wherever I go and is basically just laying down and resting wherever I'm at, similar to what she was doing pre-birth. I'm assuming this is because she just wants reassurance and support, however?

That's exactly what she wants. How is she today?
She's doing fine. Same time as last night, she's still following me around. Do you think there's a chance she could still give birth? Mom said her belly is still slightly big but I don't agree with her. She hasn't shown any "pregnancy" behavior.

Sometimes the swollen post birth belly is mistaken for a remaining kitten. Only time will tell. Right now, I'd say she's done. If she seems to be behaving oddly, a quick trip to the vet could clear up any doubts.

Sorry to hear about the kittens.

Just want to note that mom can get pregnant again within a week of delivery. Can you keep her inside and away from intact males?

Pretty much the only reason she's been going outside is for the litter box. But for the past few days she hasn't been going outside that much, but yeah we can keep her in.

Just put a litter box in the room with her. She should be fine with it.

Is there a chance there could be more kittens in her but she's just not giving birth? Just worried about some things. She hasn't shown any signs of pregnancy at all and seems normal. No attempts at contractions or any discharges. Just a bit worried and curious.

There would be signs if she had kittens but was not birthing them. It sounds like she's done.

She still keeps following me as well as constantly meowing. She wants me to follow her back to her nest even after 24 hours of giving birth. Is this normal?

I don't think she's meowing in distress. After she gets back into her nest she just lays down and sleeps - she meows and follows me again when I leave.

She's confused by her hormones right now. They are telling her to nest but there are no kittens to nurse.

Does she have swollen mammary glands? If she's lactating, you can call a rescue and offer to foster an orphaned litter. There are so many out there during summer! Your cat will raise them as her own.

Um, she just had some discharge again. Could she still be pregnant?

Similar discharge to pre-birth. Slightly clear but pinkish as well.

It's possible, but cats also experience spotting for about a week after giving birth.

Yeah, it was her first discharge ever since giving birth which was around two days ago. It was only one or two spots, not excessive at all.
