Millie is very pregnant, and it's my fault, I didn't get her spayed in time. With that said, I'm gonna be a grandma...but when? I think conception occurred on April 17, exactly 9 weeks ago. She stayed out all night and when she came home the next morning she wouldn't let me touch her behind when I picked her up, even hissed and nipped my lip. She has a clear semi-translucent fluid that can be gently expressed from her nipples but she is still eating! I've locked her in my room, but we do have 5 dogs inside as well. I've put a pet gate up in the bathroom door and built her a nesting box which she sleeps in sometimes but normally just on the floor up against the tub. Are we close? Any other symptoms I should look for? She's semi-long haired so seeing her bottom is difficult so I can't easily check for discharge. Any advice would be great.
She was rescued from the garden center at our local Walmart going under the pallets, she's up to date on her shots and healthy. This would be her first litter. She's tiny and the tom that we suspect is the dad is rather large, should that be a concern as well?
All kittens are spoken for by friends and family but we will get them vet checked, get them their first shots and won't give them to their forever homes till about 9-10 weeks old. Mahalo for any advice you can give! [emoji]10084[/emoji]️
