He is a 5 year old DLH, but he had to get shaved due to his body being completely covered it mattes and sores. Im looking forwar to seeing what he will look like when it all grows back in :)

He is such a loving boy- as Im writing this he is curled up in my lap purring away. He is currently living with two other cats, Ziggy, a short haired Maine Coon mix, and Sirus, a DSH. They get along now but Ziggy took a while to warm up to the new guy.

He has a reccuring sneeze we are having checked out at the vet Sunday~ hopefully its nothing too serious.

We are both excited to be here :)

Beautiful cat! I have a real soft spot for tabbies and Bennie looks like he would be great to snuggle with.

My Persian rescue, Forest, has to go for annual shaves. He's always so much more comfortable once he's had a hair cut.

Wow, what a gorgeous boy! Forest looks super cuddley! Bennie is a big snuggler~ he can nap on my lap for hours, purring away and getting pets~

Rescues really are the way to go :)

You're well on your way...Bennie looks very content, and it's awesome that you adopted an adult cat. He's a handsome little guy too.

I agree with Plan.  You're awesome to have adopted an older cat!  Bennie is a handsome devil for sure.

Welcome!!!

Bennie is so gorgeous.  Best of luck to you and your new mate.  He looks as if he's very sweet and easy going, a real charmer if you will. LOL

I think you'll find this site to be super helpful. Great people with lots of knowledge.  Its a wonderful community to be a part of, as I am amazed everyday how supportive everyone is.

I wish you all the best.

I too find Bennie's tail to be really long and beautiful, can't wait to see more pics.

Hey, Bennie! Welcome to the site. You are handsome. Back in the 1970's I rescued a large male cat off of the street. He was a mess. Took him to the vet. Got him fixed and shots and cleaned up. We called him "Herk" after the Greek god Hercules. He had some large scars on the bridge of his nose from fights according to the vet. That made him give small sneezes about one every 30 seconds. Other than that he was a wonderful friend and addition to our family. Hopefully, that's all Bennie has.
