She's so close! If I remember right the kittens will stop moving close to birth, they are being lined up for the birth canal. She'll start having contractions, you'll see her abdomen clenching, she'll have a bloody discharge, and she might meow. Watch her closely, if she is in active labor for more than an hour and no kittens, call your vet, I hope they have an answering service or another number to call off hours. I'll pray for both of you!

Both Leia and myself are very grateful for your help and fast answers. I doubt that she'll give birth in next few days but surely by the end of the week. I'll keep all of you wonderful people updated.

Many greeting from us playing PS together

So my little princess Leia(no pun intended) is still pregnant and has very strong gases. What is that all about and should I be worried? They are silent but killers. And I've noticed that she has hard time keeping the poop in when she "farts"
Honestly, I trust all of you more than vets over here since they all have different opinions(one said she is in her 7th week, two days later the other said she is due any moment now o_O)
No nesting behaviour, no milk drops but we can see them move alot, it's like they are having a rave in there. The anticipation is killing us. She also has a hard time licking her private parts since she is very petit(only 6 months old) but has a huge belly. I feel sorry for her and wish I could help her out somehow else than only wipping her privates.

The gas is from her hormones. Her bowels may leak from the pressure on them. What is she eating?

It sure is hard to wait for kittens!

She is eating only Dein Bestes kitten food which is said to be one of the best. It's about 0.50$ per 100 grams. Also I'm giving her some krp once a day and I always follow preparation instructions and amount per weight recommended. Problem is, she still has strong diarhea(she is de-wormed) so I'm scared that kittens are not getting enough nutrition since she goes to her litter almost right after eating. The vet said there is nothing to do about it and that we should wait for her to give birth and see what happens next. I even tried high quality dry kitten food but she still gas diarrhea. :/

I would take her off the KMR for now. What color is her diarrhea?

You should also leave kitten chow down for her 24/7. It will add bulk to her diet, as well as extra nutrition.

The kitten wet food sounds too rich for her. Put her on adult food for now.

She may also enjoy plain boiled chicken or hard boiled eggs.

Adding a tablespoon of plain, canned pumpkin to her wet food will give her bulk also.

It is not normal for her to be having smelly diarrhea after every meal. Let's get to the bottom of this.

Over the course of last two months I tried all combinations and it is not helping her. Also, her nipples are quite small, dry and also full of dried up skin all the time but she has a huge belly. I saw pregnant cats of all sizes and never nipples like those. I'm affraid she woun't be able to nurse her kittens. She did stay pregnant too young after all.

You can still have her spayed and terminate the pregnancy if you wish.

The diarrhea is not healthy. What color is it?

That is not an options since she is in her last week. I took her to the vets ER in my now and the tirdh vet told me she is heavily pregnant and probably not entirely cleaned of parasites and that this causes this mass diarrhea o_O but her test came out clean two months ago. I wonder what happens to kittens that come from mother with parasites? Or is there a safe way to clean her of parasites while still pregnant?

I'm sorry for not answering your question about the color - it is light brown.

I believe yellow and orange are colors to be truly concerned about, like you need to get her to the vet because it's an infection. Have you tried giving her a small amount of plain yogurt or plain pumpkin? It usually helps settle a tummy.

Update: So it turned out she had worms. I suppouse her previous "care takers" didn't give her second pill after 2 weeks to remove what was left. I gave her Pratel pill wich was approved by one of best vets we have in capital city. She said Pratel isn't supposed to be given to pregnant cats in theory but it never did any harm in practice. We just came back from her after 24 hours and ultrasound shows that everything is fine with kittens. I also gave her some plain yogurth as adviced by Krissy Marissy since our stores don't sell canned pumpkin. She also didn't pull a single hair from her back entire day. I think she was doing this because worms and parasites gave her some kind of a rash in that area. Please note that I did all of this only because she was looking bad and lethargic and her privets were very swallen and hurtful(she would meow alot and try to run away everytime I tried to wipe her anus because she would get all messy. Now she is very playful, eats alot and has a hard stool. I'll keep you updated. Thank you for advice

That's terrific!

Poor gal was suffering. Does this pill require a follow-up pill in 2 more weeks?

Sarthur2 Sarthur2 Yes it does. Honestly, altough everything is great this far, I'm still scared for kittens because of this pill. :/ Maybe I'm just paranoid. They are very strong and kicking hard and I can feel their heads. I suppose she is close

The kittens will be fine. De-worming is important. Now worms will not be passed to the kittens, and mom feels much better. Try not to worry. The pills sound safe.

Still no kittens. No milk dripping as well. I'm feeding her cooked chicken now because diarehea returned due to not feeding her recommended food after de-worming. But at least her coat is shiny altough she is shedding quite alot - probably due to the heat.

Did the ultrasound show how far along she is?

I'm sorry to hear she is having diarrhea again. I'm wondering if she needs an antibiotic.

She is too pregnant for ultrasound and I didn't want to pay for overpriced x-ray. After all, I live in Croatia. We are even no longer crzy excited - Mother Nature is no fool, when it's time, it's time. I tried to wipe her today and I could see it was very painful for her. Even tough I use very soft wet paper to do it. I guess sher behind is too irritated.
