More bad news about Monty :( About half an hour ago my partner and I got in from work and were playing with him, and noticed a huge swelling under his chin, sort of to the left of center on his neck. Its very large (maybe golfball size), soft, feels fluidy. He doesn't seem to notice, or mind it being touched and is still acting playful and affectionate, so doesn't seem to feel ill at all. It came from nowhere!! I always pet him under the chin and behind his ears, so I would have noticed this yesterday, it definitely came on over night / today while I was working. Our vets are all closed so I'll be taking off work tomorrow to get him looked at.

I feel so bad for the little dude, he's had such a bad run of problems. No idea if - or how - they could be connected, just want to get some answers. Obviously my heart is in my throat, as soon as my boyfriend said 'lump'. Will update you guys tomorrow but any advice in the meantime is welcome!

I think it's good to have the vet check it tomorrow. I'm really not sure what it could be.
Hopefully, it's nothing serious. Poor Monty! He can't seem to catch a break!

It was an abscess! Its been drained and he's on antibiotics. He most likely got it from Umi, the little devil. He's doing well, on the mend, but still too small for any more tests. He only weights 700g!

Next step is to get him big enough to test for auto-immune disorders, which may link all of his problems together.

In the meantime, for cuteness sake, he's too small for a neck cone, but was going to town on his neck, and we didn't want it to get worse, so I asked the vet if we should bandage him and she suggested little bandana / neckerchief thingys made out of clean socks to help him stop scratching :)

I'm glad it was just an abscess and nothing more serious.

He sure keeps you busy!

Thank you for the update! [emoji]128522[/emoji]

@Zed Xyzed  he's doing so well, thanks for asking!

We finally had a good vet trip with him on Friday. He was having the abscess checked, and the vet gave him a good looking over. He's gained 230g in one week (how I do not know, he was TINY and not putting on a lot of wweight before), so he's now .92kg, bigger than Umi who is .89. The vet said he's looking amazing, he's finally starting to thrive, his abscess is gone apart from a little bit of scar tissue. He tested his responses, and he's doing amazingly, only a slight head tilt now, which he'll probably have forever.

Umi's great too, she's just had her vaccinations and is in perfect health.

So so delighted, I felt like such a proud mom :D
