She was spayed 5 days ago and has been doing great ever since. We've been checking her incision each night and up until tonight there wasn't anything that appeared worrying, it just always looked like a little pouch at the bottom. There were never any external stitches. But tonight I saw it looking like this and am worried. I plan to take her to the vet tomorrow, but just want some opinions from others as to whether this doesn't look right to them also.

The entire incision area you see is only an inch long, if that, by the way. It's a close photo so it would be hard for you to tell the actual size, but the hole that is causing alarm for me is about the size of the tip of a pen. It is also a bit wet..

Thank you for any opinions/advice

It looks good to me.  You don't want it to be angry or red looking and definitely don't want it bleeding or oozing anything.  The last kitty that I had spayed had the little bulge, but it's just scar tissue and it went away.  Keep an eye on it and if it gets larger, then contact the vet.

Thank you! It's not so much the bulge that worries me, though, as it is the hole where the incision looks like it's open. Is that normal also?

She might of pulled out a stitch or two. I've never seen an opening on the incisions when I get my foster kittens fixed. Well not unless there Mom or siblings yanked on the stitches that is.

She most likely has internal stitches that will dissolve.  I still don't see anything to be too concerned about. Keep an eye on and if it starts draining or getting really red, then get her back to the vet.
