So my cat, Moxy, is about eight months old. We live in the country and she roams around outside, so she got pregnant the first time she went into heat. This morning, we found a dead kitten on the porch. It was only one, and it was a bit bigger than newborn kits normally are (we've had litters before) The kitten was out of the sac, so we know he didn't drown. Moxy's belly still looks large though, and we had her inside earlier this morning, and she started bleeding. We've been keeping an eye on her all day, but all she has done is lay down. She's barely moved three feet! We're not sure at this point what is happening with her, this has never happened before.

I agree, this doesnt sound good.  This is a vet errand, asap. I think.

If you told, she is OK, no visible troubles save some reddish discharge, I would say - do observe vigilantly but you can calmly wait and see.

Pauses of different shapes are common enough, and kittens born hours or even days apart.  As long momma is OK, you are OK.

But here it sounds concerning.  She is laying in grave difficulties, probably in pains too, and bleeding.   Its really an ER vet situation.

ps.  She may be still pregnant with another kitten.  But whatever, the situation is alarming.
