We are 1st time bengal owners and have had our sweet Meeka since 9 weeks old. She is now 14 weeks and we are more amazed by her everyday!! I have had domestic cats all my life....until I got married 6 years ago to a man who is not a cat lover at all lol....well my daughter and I had been begging for some time for a kitten....he finally said, "You find a cat that doesn't she'd and I'll say yes" he was being sarcastic and didn't think they actually existed! After doing a bunch of googling and researching different breeds I fell in love with the look of the begal! And for the most part, people said they shed none to minimal and they were right! I had on black fleece leggings and she was cuddled up and playing on them for a good hour and not one hair! Not to mention my husband loves her as much as I do...it's actually kind of cute! She was AMAZING with our kids right from the beginning and sleeps in our bed every night :) Her personality is amazing! Seriously the best cat I've ever owned! She is energetic, playful, sweet....and just plain neat to watch! I would recommend this breed to anyone looking for a new family addition! I already want another one so she has a friend while we're at work! At 14 weeks her coat and coloring is already getting more defined....can't wait to watch as she grows!

Congratulations on finding such a perfect family member.
Meeka is very beautiful now and is going to be stunning full grown.   Please keep sharing photos and stories of her as she grows up.  And let us know if she gets a "sibling."  Wishing you all many happy years together!  BTW:  I love to hear the stories when non-cat lovers are won over.  They sometimes end up being the biggest softies of all.

Thank you for your reply! I week definitely post updates! My husband is totally smitten so I don't think it will be long before she has a friend:) i just loved the breeder we went though! Very socialized and well cared for kittens! Please everyone be aware of breeders and make sure you trust them....Meeka was a God send...before we found her, we had already sent a deposit on a cheaper kitten....we got a text one day that our kitten had died :( i couldn't even imagine telling my kids this news....so we found meeka online very close to our home and as we're pulling out of the house after picking her up we got a text that our "original kitten" was alive and well and there had been a mistake.....haha it was a blessing in disquise!!!

Whew!  That really did work out for you.  It really makes you wonder what kind of business they're running if a breeder takes a deposit, tells you the kitten has died and then suddenly finds it again.

She is a very beautiful kitten!!  Will enjoy watching her grow and look forward to another possible "new addition" in the future.
In the meantime, please keep those pictures coming!!

I went through a bad breeder whom I thought was a great person just because she was so "honest", long story short I got an entirely different breed of kitten because she was having a hard time selling them. You were right to go with your gut and now you have a beautiful and healthy baby girl [emoji]128522[/emoji]

I ran across your post, my breeder may be the same one. Was your sire's name walker by chance? I love my bengal, was just wondering if they were from the same breeder since we both had luck! You're actually close to me as well, odd!

I honestly don't know the sire's name...I'd have to dig out her pw but the queen was named Kiki. In other news...the breeder contacted me and asked if I or anyone I knew and trusted would take in the mother when Meeka was 5 months old because she began breeding Savannahs and they didn't coexist very well :( We took her without question and are so in love with her too! And although they have their moments, mom and baby get along great and both are loving and affectionate to our family and just a joy to have in our lives! So I'm not sure if it was the same breeder or not but I'm so glad you had a great experience and have a beautiful bengal in your life and, if it is the same breeder, she is an amazing person and I am so happy she thought us when rehoming her baby girl! Also, super cool to hear you are close by...I don't know anyone else around here with Bengals!

Meeka was ironically born on my bday this year, March 6 (she was meant to be ours [emoji]128516[/emoji]) and mom Kiki will be 2 in January....what about yours?
