hi. we use clumping cat litter. but my two cats pee and poop every after they eat so i have to throw away the clumps so often, the litter itself is decreasing very fast. i have to refill it and the 12L litter only lasts for 1 week and 3 days. It's very costly if i want to maintain the enough depth.

so i bought this coconut husk or crumbles based litter. it's cheaper but doesnt clump wastes that much (tho the pack said it does ugh). anyway i mixed the two variants to have the benefit of clumping and cheap filler for the purpose of maintaining the required depth. Do you guys do this? cause ever since we own a cat we just let them poop outside until now cos two of our cats were gone. so we dont want that to happen on our new kittens.

sorry for my english. im from the other country and its kinda late here now for me to make a letter with least possible grammar mistakes. lol.

anyone use coconut based litter?

It should go ok, unless they are very picky.   We had somiliar situation sometimes, and mixed clumping with litter made of paper. Or from wood.  Im not saying its any advantage with it, but it works, if that what you mean.  And it doesnt harm the cats.

Oooh. thanks. Well one of them pooped and peed the moment i poured the coconut litter. the other one seemed to be hesitant. so i hope when i wake up tomorrow i wont be seeing any poop on the floor. lol.

also is it ok to feed them only twice a day? morning and night. im not at home during afternoon.

Feeding them twice a day really isn't enough in that case. They should have a high quality kitten kibble down all the time and meals of wet food when you are home. They need constant access to food because they are constantly growing!

They will also need to be spayed and neutered soon!

As TalkingPeanut already mentioned - they must have also something in between.  Cats are a little alike horses here - many small meals during the day.

Using dry cat food in these meals in between is comfortable by this reason.  Dry food isnt optimal - both raw and wet food is better. So the trick is to give them hiqh quality dry food.  Much animal contents - much proteins, and quite a much fat.  As little carbo fillers as possible.   And as you must have carbo fillers, better to have useful carbos than useless carbos alike cheap cereals as gluten.
