The kitten in question is not actually mine, but one that I was looking at on an adoption website and maybe considering adopting. She is described as being a BIG (they put it in all caps) female domestic medium hair kitten with Siamese markings. To me, she looks like lynx or bobcat mix--even though the coloring is not right for a bobcat. We have a lot of bobcats here in North Texas, but I don't think lynxes are very prevalent. Is it even possible for a wild cat to mate with a domestic cat? Yes, I have heard of lynx point Siamese cats, but the head shape and size of this kitten seem unusual.

Lynx point cat doesnt refer to any hybrid of the Lynx specie, but its simply a tabby and point cat.  I suppose you could compare yours candidate to a ragdoll, whom CAN be quite big.

I'm not sure on that possibility, but wolves and coyotes mate with domestic dogs so.......? No matter what, she is a BEAUTIFUL kitten and large is unusual in a female. I hope you will give her a forever home, that sweet little face needs someone to call her own. Please consider adopting two if you do, they keep each other entertained and are company for when you are gone, both important considerations. Bless you for considering her, all the luck and keep us posted!

Apparently someone else thought she was beautiful too. I checked on her this morning, and she had already been adopted! I guess it's for the best though. I just found out I might be moving in a few months, and it probably wouldn't be good to make the poor kitty adjust to TWO new homes in such a short time. I guess I'll just be content with the two sweet kitties I already have for now. I would like to eventually look into adopting another kitty in about a year or so though.
