About a week ago my boyfriend discovered a litter of kittens living in the wall of his moms house. We managed to capture two of them and the third disappeared we think he got big enough to leave through under the house. Anyways, the babies were living in a hole in the wall caused by a busted water pipe filled with black mold and just overall disgusting insulation and drywall. They seemed okay at first but the little boy has started having little coughing fits and has had little crusty sores show up all over his tummy and inner thighs. I'm really really worried about him. He doesn't eat as much as the other and won't accept treats. Here's a few pictures of what his stomach looks like can someone please tell me what might be wrong with my baby? I just lost my job and can't afford to take him to the vet unless I know it's urgent. Thank you.

Do you have a closer/better picture of one of the lesions? Its hard to really see them in the picture you have.

If the skin lesions are crusty green or yellow, that says infection. Could be fungal, bacterial or he could have had an allergic reaction to something. If he is not eating and seems to be coughing/ acting sick, he does NEED to see a vet as soon as possible!

It sounds like it could be ringworm, in addition to an upper respiratory infection. Neither will go away without treatment. You need an office visit with a vet so you can get medicine for the kitten. Bad timing for your purse, but this little guy is very sick.

My kitty is dealing with this - we just got her a steroid injection to calm things down.  It could be seasonal allergies or like others say ringworm.  We also just did a flea/tick treatment
