It has been a little over a week since I switched my cats over to wet food only. But lately I noticed that they have been throwing up and gagging when I give them wet food. However, when they get dry food, there is no gagging or vomiting at all. I remember reading something about switching up proteins but I don't understand what that means. There is no change in temperament, activity levels, weight, etc. The only symptom is vomiting after eating wet food only so I'm afraid it might be something in the wet food. The flavours provided at my grocery store are limited so I only have about 4 to choose from and they've all eaten all 4 flavour already so I have a hard time mixing it up. I'm getting really frustrated because I don't want them on bag food again. They were doing so well on the wet food and then this.
What is going on?
Forgot to add: Felix and Smokey have also been doing well on raw food for a while but I recently stopped giving it to them. Could this have contributed to the vomiting?
Below is what I am feeding them and 3 other flavours:
Salmon, meat by-products, poultry by-products, animal liver, brewers rice flour, fish, guar gum, salt, potassium chloride, vitamins (vitamin e supplement, thiamine mononitrate, niacin, vitamin D12 supplement, d-calcium pantothenate, pyridoxine hydrochloride, vitamin D3 supplement, riboflavin supplement, vitamin a supplement, biotin, folic acid), minerals (ferrous sulfate, zinc oxide, copper proteinate, manganous sulfate, sodium selenite, potassium iodide), choline chloride, carrageenan, taurine, added color, sufficient water for processing.
