My Kitty Mau-Hô was throwing up,not eating/drinking,but looking sortof normal for 2 days;we went to the vet's,who said there were bones and stuff stuck in the gut-gave me laxatives,anti-vomit,child enemas and antibio,just in case;
My 3 girls (kitties) are hunters,for we live in a mountain home in the woods:the cellar and basement are a nighttime favourite!

She has trouble accepting some of the medicine,especially the laxative--it must taste terrible!!!-so I gave her a couple of ml olive and sesame oil a couple of times,and she went to the bathroom;I only gave her antivomit once,and she stopped throwing up,so that's good;
The enema was most triumphant:the first one,2 days ago,got a LOT of old stuff out! But no bones yet...
My questions:
-should I be worried about finding bones in the feces?
-apart from what I faithfully squirt into her mouth and a tiny bit of water once and then,she isn't being fed;should I force broth or anything?
-today is day 5 since 1st vomit,day 3 since vet visit;should she be doing a lot better? She does make herself comfortable,and walks around the house a bit,but not much...

I AM SO WORRIED!!!

Please help!

I would think you would want to find bones in her stools, but did the Vet tell you what size there are?  They might be very tiny, since they should be fairly chewed up.  Are you really squeezing her stools to see what's in them (gross, I know, but necessary).

Not throwing up anymore is a very good sign, but I would think you need evidence that the blockage has moved on.  Maybe call your Vet back and discuss?

Thank you!

I did keep calling the vet and sending messages to her (I figure,it's her job,I live too far to go often,plus I paid a lot the other day,so it should be o.k. for me to bother every time I'm in doubt...:-) );
I did pull the poopoo apart with 2 little sticks .....(I'm gross so it's o.k.!) but I only found that the stuff was real sticky,and a bit stiff,too...
After I posted the 1st message here,I gave her another enema and oil,and she expulsed another turd,about 5cm long,same sticky/tough consistency;in the evening,about 2h after her #beloved# laxative,she puked yellow stuff (bile?),then she went to the sandbox (with me staring to know everything about her private life) and let go a huuuuge amount if gas,or air,I don't know,but she looked like "that felt good!" and a tiny bit of diarrhea...no bones.
And then,although she was frail,she came walking into the garden,where I was doing some work...
Later in the evening,she ate a tiny bit of kibbles and drank a little water;I was so glad!
So now,24 hours later,she's a happy kitty again!
So although I'm still worried the bones may be just moving through her and just might get stuck again,her belly feels more relaxed and soft than before.
I'll be watching very closely;right now,all is love,from her to us(I think she knows we did our best!),and vice versa!!!

Glad she seems to be feeling better.

BTW, when I mentioned squeezing her stools to see of there were fine pieces of bone on them
, naturally I meant wearing rubber or at minimum latex gloves
.  Love only goes so far
