Cat whiskers?

Hello,

So I noticed a lot of white and other particles on my kitten's whiskers. Some are visible some are just felt if you run your fingers over them. I tried that and a gentle washcloth but I don't want to damage her whiskers.

I've noticed this before. Should I bother cleaning or will she get them and how should I? Where does it come from?

It's probably food or other stuff she is wandering into while she's investigating.  She'll get the hang of cleaning herself, so you don't need to do it.  Is she quite young?
