I didn't even know that my cat was pregnant and I had been staying at a different house so I wasn't with her. I came in to my apartment looking for her and found a dead kitten inside a cabinet. I found my cat in the bathroom and she was purring and meowing and even pushing at times. I waited with her for 4 hours and then had to leave to run an errand. I got back and she had another dead kitten that was still in the placenta. She still seemed to be in labor so I took her to the vet. They X-Rayed her and saw she had one more kitten. Since she had already given birth twice she didn't need surgery. They gave her a shot to start contractions. It has been 48 hours and still no kitten. She is spotting slightly and wants attention. She's walking around like normal but I still think she's in labor.

Can you call the vet back and update them? I would be concerned that she hasn't produced the last kitten.

Who has been caring for your cat while you are away? Is there any way you can move her with you?

My boyfriend has been there. Like I said, we didn't even know she was pregnant. She is an antisocial cat and we just recently moved so I just assumed her hiding was normal.

Let us know what the vet says. You definitely don't want any sort of sepsis happening here.

She'll likely have the last kitten on her own eventually, since she birthed the other two. Hopefully, she will open the sac and get it breathing. Keep us posted!

I hope you're able to stay with her, she probably needs help if these kittens were alive at birth. Hope the last kitten comes soon!
